Comfort hard tires is the best for drifting

Firstly, I would like to point you in the direction of the AUP, you agree'd to it when you signed up therefore I feel that you should abide by it. You do not need a capital letter for every new word. Your English seems good enough to me for you to already know this.

Secondly, I'm sure the percentage of comfort tire drifters is a lot higher than 85%. Sport tires have far too much grip to be able to pull off such moves as the Tandem or to even keep a drift stable enough for an extended period of time.

I would also like to add that these kinds of threads are in abundance around this sub-forum so I would like to advise you on searching to find relevant threads rather than creating your own.

Threads about tires create a lot of controversy and are best avoided in this sub-forum.

I drift comfort hard because there the only tyres that look realistic when drifting. I find anything above comforts has way too much grip and causes snap back

Ohh man, just when I thought it was ok to leave the bunker... Back down I go..

But seriously though, search button goes a long way.. You should try it some time..

Wasn't there 1 or maybe 2 threads about this (or something like this that eventually turned into this) before? I think I can remember one just a few weeks ago. :odd:

Because Comfort will allow you to drift like this:

Now try matching that with sports tyres and you have a right to complain about which tyres we use. And please use proper grammar, as it clearly states in the AUP that you should have read before signing up.

I prefer Racing tires for most Grip.

*Stupid mode activated*

Yeah, I like racing slicks too, because they have more grip :dopey: .

*Stupid mode de-activated*

Actually, comfort tyres are best for drifting.

:lol::lol::lol: and comfort tyres are more real

I have not found any reason to stick with any one tire compound. Comfort Hards or not, I don't care if it's up to par with the "real deal."

Not to be a bitch, but a lot of people arent experienced driving a car normally, let alone drifting. Why would you want to show Formula D rules, when it's barely even logical to let most people drift, in cars faster/more expensive then missiles? :)

Falken Azenis RT615, Nitto NT05 and some other tires listed on the Formula D rules are road legal Semi Slick "race" tires with very few shallow treads, they are not comparable to comfort tires in GT5, which is standard full tread road tires. Nitto also known for their NT range tires popular with street drags.

This is contradictory, semi slick road tires are sports tires in GT5 ...

It's because they want a general feel of what it 'is' like to drift in real life, and the best way to start making GT5 more of a drifting simulator is to find out what the tyres are like, then after this a welded diff maybe etc etc.

But only pros drift with semi slicks. Normal people would drift with tires like Federal 595 RS or even cheaper tires.
By the way GT5 physics =\= real life physics therefore comparing what pro uses IRL and what's the equivalent in GT is irrelevant.

Comfort hard still stays n-1 tires when it comes to drift.

My point was that if in real life they are allowed to drift with such semi slick high grip tires, why would not in game ? Those semi slick tires in real life have very good grip and yet they can still drift with it.

So I guess it's up to the driver's choice, just like in real life and there should be no "pro" drifter in GT5, they are normal people, because they use comfort tires lol.

Exactly.
Useless argue again because at the end of the day all the better drifters use comfort tires. You can't link a full track like cape ring north with sport tires nor do awesome long entries and all the things that characterize drifting.

My Bad ... Im New Here Didy Know This Cause This Things Well.. Can U Help Me Close This Threat To Avoid Any Controversy ?

I posted it because it's relevant to other posts in this thread. Everyone always wants to whine about what's "real." The FD rules at least are real, how you choose to apply it to GT5 is your own choice.

LOOKS for a tire should not automatically throw it into a particular category of tire. Semi-Slick just gets tossed around too much. RT615K I would never consider to be a semi-slick even with it's looks or thread depth. It has piss poor performance compared to Advan A048 or even a Bridgestone RE070.

Compound, sidewall stiffness, UTQG, tire size, too many factors to take into account. GT5 will never have this level of choice unfortunately.

Advan A048 = UTQG of 60

Hankook Ventus RS3 = UTQG of 140

Falken RT615K = UTQG of 200

As for myself I use Comfort Hards to drift in GT5...
