Coming To L A

me and a couple of buddys are coming to california next july...to see WSBK at Leguna Seca, and want to see some US sports, what can we expect to see? NBA/NHL/baseball?

Just Baseball. Basketball, football, and hockey are in their offseasons. There are plenty of MLB teams in California if you want to travel a bit.

Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics, Anaheim Angels, San Diego Padres.

cheers, how easy is it to get tickets? do you have to have a season ticket or can you just turn up and buy one?
also which home game would you reccomend?

thanks :)

If you're gonna be a Laguna Seca, Drive down to Cannery Row and Check out the "new" aquarium, The "Carousel" (a hand carved carousel with a lot of cool shops and such around it). It is catty-corner across the street from the bar in the movie "Play Misty for Me".
You will also be just a few minutes away from Carmel. But once in Carmel, park the car and walk. The foot traffic down there rules the day. Not the cars.

Hope you guys have fun.
If you have a ride, Check out Salinas, Main Street on a Wed. or Fri. Night. It used to be the place to see cool, tricked out cars.

i fancy the sound of that........cheers

You can just show up to the park and buy a ticket. I don't think any of the teams i mentioned sell out any games.

I'd see the Athletics. Though if you are going to be in LA, you may as well see the Dodgers. Unless you don't mind driving to Oakland which is 330 miles away. Heh.

Seca's in between Salinas and Monterey CA. Oakland is about 120 miles from there. San Francisco is another 30 minutes beyond Oakland.
(used to live within spittin' distance from Laguna Seca. My "senior skip day" We picnicked in the the park across the street from the Racetrack.) :D

Go see the Padres. Dodger stadium sucks. Plus, the Padres are one of only a few teams worse than the Rockies.
