Comparing lap times with friends

We are currently choosing one of the daily races as the lap times can be compared, but for days where the circuit choices don’t suit, what is the best way?

Time trial only displays local best times, not friends times.
Online lobby (personal) doesn’t seem to display the fastest lobby time, just a personal record of times.

Is there another way?

Circuit experience (full lap) is effectively time trial with fixed setup. Perfect way to compare your lap times to friends.

Want to try and replicate sport mode if possible - with BOP on

Just qualify and don't race. I do that quite regularly.
Helps with familiarisation.
