Just needed to vent/get some perspective...last night noticed i had a message from an online racer complaining that i didnt use my radar and i wasnt the only driver on the track...this was 2 weeks ago, so i have absolutely no idea what (if anything) i did wrong, and was probably the first day i had gone online racing.
I have the bonnet/roof view so dont have a rear view mirror (PD!!) and do use the radar....last night i was punted off 3 times ruining my race twice, ive been pitted by slower drivers upset that i had passed them (usually the French), ive outbraked myself numerous times and either hit people accidently or aimed myself at the wall, etc to avoid accidents..so im not saying i never make a mistake. i watch nearly all replays to see if i made a mistake (in order to improve my etiquette) or if the other driver was at fault...watch, learn, move on..

im not apologising for anything i may have done and dont remember, i have limited time online so when stuff happens i take a deep breath and move on...for those people out there taking this way too seriously please be respectful of those with a lower skill level or those that just want to have a bit of fun after a hard day working, etc.. nasty messages dont help anyone, they just reflect what type of person you are

As long as you're respectful on track and take the time to apologise when you affect someone else's race, something I highly recommend as it says a lot about the person, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Accidents can and do happen.

As for nasty messages, if they're really bad, report them.

Exactly. With written messages it's a quick job for people who look at reports and both ingame and through PSN you always get a notice that the report was received and another one when a decision was made.
I can't deny that it puts a smile on my face when I get a message that the player who sent a nasty message got a warning

And yeah, if you ruin someone's race wait in a safe spot until they've passed you again and apologize afterwards. Usually that enough makes most people see that it wasn't malicious driving but just an honest mistake. And if you have to wait 15 seconds for them to recover from you sending them to Barry R, then that's your Karma :D
