Computer got nuked PLEASE HELP

A few days back, for whatever reason, im guessing a virus, i was forced to reinstall Windows XP because a vital component had been deleted. In doing this, my entire music and graphic file was deleted. Before I reinstalled XP, i had several Windows login names on my computer (i.e. Owner, Dad, Tom, etc.) I know these files are still on my computer, and i can open them using 'C:\Recycler\' but as they are saved on the Owner login name, i am denied access of the actual folder, preventing me from saving and restoring them. These files are very important to me, can anyone help me restore them by either gaining access to the old user or using a program? Thanks in advance

You could probably get in through the repair wizard. Boot from the winXP cd, and log in to the original installation with the admin password. You can then use DOS commands to move the files that you want to save. Hope that helps!
