The Concourse moved from the Meadowbrook estate down to St.John's country club in Plymouth, MI. It was a much better venue this year and I think a much better show. There was move space, more shade and just overall a nicer setting....not to mention cheaper ticket prices and more cars.

Car Club Area
This is where car clubs can come in an show of their cars that aren't quite concourse worthy, but good in their own right.

Lotus 7 or at least some variant

Damn. There were some very amazing cars in attendance. Being a crazy vintage drag racing fanatic, I would have been drooling over all the flip-top funny cars, Don Nicholson's Cyclone was there! Also, the Tickle me pink charger... way neat, from an era when funnies still resembled altered-wheelbase steel cars, but with fiberglass bodies. Awesome.

The Indy display also looked like a blast, one of the Agajanian Spls. Was in attendance. That isn’t easy.

As for the concours cars (quite eclectic concours event I might say), the mid-30s Mercedes are astonishing, as are the Allards, very cool UK-bodied, American V8 (Cadillac) powered contramptions.

Also, that Reliant Scimitar is a one-off motorshow car that wore the glass-clad wagon body. Only one made, served the royal family for a while I think. All original paint, body, and glass of course.

I wish there were events of this caliber in this damned place.

Not to get O/T but do they still have Concours d'Ignorance? It's a show for the proverbial misfit toys and beaters of the automotive world.
