Control Scheme

I'm new to GTPSP and the Gran Tusimo series in general, so I was wondering which is more accurate for steering, the d-pad or the analog nub. I can't really tell because I'm really bad at this game so I suck when I try either one. The d-pad feels more comfortable though, the analog nub just feels unnatural where it is placed, especially in a long race.

Also, which camera angle do you guys use? I use the behind the car view cause it lets me see more of the track and I find it easier to judge when to break and turn stuff, but the cockpit view looks more fun and immersive.

here's my experience before:
GT: Steer-D-PAD / View: Bumper
GT2: Steer-D-PAD/ View: Bumper
GT3: Steer-D-PAD(first month) then went Analog all the way/View: Bumper
GT4: Steer(Analog)/ View: Bumper
GTPSP:Steer D-PAD(for 1 year)
Analog(used after D-PAD malfunction)
View: Bumper(for 1 year)
Overhead View(when I started competing at TAC)

The Analog stick of the PSP is weirdly placed , I also am having a hard time using it. But it responds better than the D-PAD. the Overhead view gives me better view of corners. Changes in road elevations is better seen in this view.

My progression was the same until GT4, I got a wheel.

On the PSP my hands are too big to use the nub, so I use the D-PAD, but I have used the nub for short periods of time and it is a bit more accurate. I use the cockpit view a lot on the PSP, but sometimes go back to bumper cam.

Analog stick, but I tried using d-pad recently - feels pretty comfortable. Haven't finished a race with d-pad only though.

Usually use cockpit camera, but sometimes switch to the behind camera. Let's you see the environment around you, and not only the front of the car.
