I've finally received Gran Turismo 3 in the mail, and I've just finished playing it for about 2 hours.  The graphics are unlike anything I've ever seen, but I don't think the control lives up to GT2's standards.  Of course, I've only been driving in some of the license tests and Arcade mode with normal tires, so does it get better once you really get into the game?

I started playing GT3 last weekend, and I found it took a few hours to get used to the control, just like it did when I started GT2. The arcade controls are OK, but not really representitive of the sim control. And I think the license cars are pretty much stock, so they feel a bit fat and squirmy on the road. I struggled for a few hours with my Sprinter until I snagged the old-skool RX-7, saved for a R32 Skyline, pimped it out, and moved on to the Amateur series. I'm working through the Rally series now with my 22B, and I feel much more comfortable with the control than I was at first. I bet you'll get used to it real quick...

Ah, that's good to know!  :D  Now my only worry is about my right thumb...  :reallymad:

I've heard a few people say they mapped the brake & accelerator to the R1 & R2 buttons. I haven't tried it myself, but they're analog too and they might be less painful on yer thumb!
