Controller not responding

When I launch GT7 my controller stops working. I’m unable to move the cursor or select within the game.

The PS button works fine and allows me to go back to the PS5 Home Screen.

I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling GT7. The update shows complete. I’ve tried restarting my PS5.

No luck. Anyone experienced this issue?

Is the controller firmware up to date?

I don't know and don't know how to up date the firmware.

I have tried to hard reset my controller but I can't even reset my controller. If I push the little button on de back for 5sec he turns of but when I turn it on again (also when the ps4 is turnt off) nothing changes, I don't have to re-pair it as usually.
