There's some really brave photographers out there!

beleive it or not , they are playing it safe now adays, back then at the service areas they used to find body parts stuck in the car because spectators used to challenge eachother who can touch the car while going side ways on the road by them.!!!
tha's why they have marshalls on rally events these days, to prevent people from doing that!!

those cars look almsot real if they really are computer generated. They usualy take the pictures from a bit far away where it is safe and they zoom in using a telephoto lens so it looks like they are near.

but the other way to know that they are not reall is by looking in to the trunk the reall focus rs w.r.c. contains a large fuel cell the is visible even from this angel, and then there is the other car with the hood open, if you look closelly you can see that there is no complete engine in there, if you want to investigate it more go to: www.codemasters.com or www.videogames.com and use word search for rally and they will give you the link to these pictures.
