Copy/Paste setups

Hi,

First post here in a long time. Does anyone know if you can copy/paste setups from your initial setup A into B or C?

Its a shame when I have a car set up nicely to have to change suspension / LSD etc when all I really want is a new gearbox, or do I have to set each one (A/B/C) up from scratch?

I know this option used to exist in GT5, and it's possible I just can't find it, so any pointers much appreciated.

Thanks,

Van.

not yet, i am sure it will come in an update just like gt5.
Do you not find it frustrating that we had to wait for it in GT5 and it was so useful when we got it, but it's not in GT6 at launch? What possible reason would they have for not putting it in there at launch? It's a copy and paste function, one of the most used functions in all of computerdom. Sometimes I wonder if they do these things just to deliberately frustrate gamers. :boggled:

It does seem odd that they took such a step back on so many things. How hard is it just to leave the code for that function in the game? I am sure they used GT5 as the foundation for GT6. Did they not use the final version and instead used GT5 1.0 as the basis for the build? I see no logical reason not to use the final version of GT5 as the basis to build GT6. Puzzling!

What's even worse, is that I can't seem to keep setup A and B different! If I make a change in B, it shows up in A! Does anyone else have this problem?

I've only used the second sheet once or twice and never cross referenced with the first after doing so, so I can't say for sure. But there were similar issues when the tuning sheets were first released in GT5. Deleted wings would show up on different tuning sheets for example. Hard to imagine that something they perfected in GT5 (copying one sheet to another), wasn't in GT6 at launch, and the base sheets themselves are having similar issues to GT5 tuning sheets. It's like reinventing the wheel...

I've been playing around with it, and it seems there are only two settings that transfer from sheet to sheet in my case. With the Boss 302, I attempted to put Praiano's 550 pp tune on sheet A, and Motor City's 500 pp on sheet B. All the settings stay separate except for the engine stage2/standard setting, and weight reduction stage 3/standard setting. If I change those settings in one tune, they are also changed in the other.

Ridiculous.

I have that too. It's like they dumb it down so they can say that they've done blah, blah, and blah since the release.

The way I make sense of it is in gt5 you couldn't downgrade either of those parts but now you can. So they probably have it transfer with the same coding as that. Even tho the hood and window reduction aren't affected by the same situation.
