Just want to throw something out there....how are people doing for time on either the 27th and/or 28th December????

In other news, as I've been looking over the list of registered drivers, I need to decide who is in, and who will move to a reserve race per race position.

So I would like everyone just to post if they're in for the season or not, also from the replay of the last race I'd like to make an observation...

LIAMATTHURSO has illegal parts fitted to his Club Car. How can I tell, well his is the only one that has a shorter redline bar...you are all free to check the replay if you saved it, just scroll up and down everyone's car and you will see the graphic change on his speedo :indiff:

Not on! Our series is based on fun and fair racing, we won't have cheaters hoping to scrape a few more horses or torque thinking this will give them the edge. So LIAMATTHURSO, get it sorted or you're out.

As fun as it was, and as always we love to have new faces come in each season, hopefully they'll stick around like Jammy & Fuel, but one concern has been raised from within the group.

We are all part of the CORE and race as individuals, but it was quite clear that Reflex, LIAM and Jolli have raced online together before, the issue we have is two-fold.

1, Open mics during the race are encouraged, but there was too much needless chatting, not to mention the subject matter...nothing to do with the racing.

2. It was as if you were having your own personal battles from your other leagues :indiff: we don't want that spilling over and causing an upset in our series. It's not about beating just your 'mates' its having the race-craft among us all, 100% into the whole race/season.

When I started the CORE GT Series (or Trident GT Championship as it was then) I remained pretty tight on the age range of drivers who were accepted...this direction proved almost short sighted as it wasn't really about age, but a maturity that you rarely find in 'open lobbies' So this organised event was born from that frustration. We have younger racers in the CORE, and they've proved to be just what the CORE is all about, and hopefully have become that very fabric of where the CORE GT Series needs to be as it moves forward.

So if you feel you have that maturity, please by all means come and race with us, show us what you've got...but if not, then I'm afraid this series isn't for you.

So as mentioned above and for the benefit of new racers I propose the following list (I'll go first, you don't need to put your name if you don't want to, but I will as your host) My age is there to show what 'demographic' we cover :)

Season 6 Registered drivers (CORE GT Members)

Omnius - Stephen, 38
Ade3210 - 41
Fuelmyfire - Alex, 21
Dowlin39 - Stephen, 20
Jammy_Rex - Kev, 35
Geordie139 - Gav, 35
Third_Reign - Lars, 26

One last Endurance people???

I'm thinking it would be nice to tie it into the 15 years of GT :) 👍

Think of it like the 'FTTC' Suzuka Endurance I shoe-horned in before our real pre-season events.

So I'm thinking either ONE 2 hour (Friday) or TWO (Thursday & Friday) 1 hour 30 races. If we go for the one race on our normal Friday, it will feature 2 cars that you can choose from. If we go for the Thursday and Friday, I'll split the cars into each night, but using the same track :D

So whats the mood out there in GTland....

Joining the CORE series has been a fantastic experience for me. I love motorsport, and racing games (especially GT) but up until about August last year I hadn't done that much online racing in GT5, certainly no organised races.

So, to find such a well organised race series with such a nice, friendly bunch of competitors is like bliss for me! The things that strike me about the series is the love and attention that Omnius puts into it. (and I can say the same thing about Ade with the Sunday Cup, so much respect to you guys!). Also the fair play of the drivers who compete. There are a different set of skill levels in the series but I have been made to feel so very welcome as I am trying to get myself up to speed. But the rewards are immense and I felt a lot of pride being able to compete at the sharp end in the most recent race. But my skills are still being developed but hopefully I can keep improving, but I am having so much fun!

So thanks Omnius for organising such a fab series and letting me be part of it :)

And yes I love the sound of back to back endurance races, just hope I am free on those days but don't think I have anything planned as yet.

I do love the idea of back to back races but I think that realistically I can only make the Friday race. I won't know until the time comes so I'm up for both as it stands with no guarantees.

Thanks for the nice comments Jammy 👍 I joined Core pretty much from the off, and if it hadnt been for this, The Sunday Cup wouldnt have been created. So in a way we have Omnius to thank for both. It is a great series, and I look forward every week to the races, and enjoy racing with all of drivers.

Also, I will have to let you know nearer the time if I am available for races. What with it being a busy week, dont know what plans the missus has for later in the week, I am just a passenger at Xmas.

Cheers lads!

When you say back to back, you know I mean one on the 27th then one on the 28th, not 2 on the same night

I'm forgetting that you will be busy across that week, as for me, its the wife's turn to be at work during the break but I'm off... :indiff:

If more people could be around on the 28th I'm happy to stick with that and do a 2 hour race with a choice of the 2 cars I have in mind :sly:

Yeah sorry I knew you meant back to back days and I'd be up for that, but whatever you guys decide is cool.

Apparently i had illegal parts, which was i had a carbon propellor shaft (which i never knew i had on) i apologize for that, i never knew about that, but it was next to no performance gain, & sorry for the talk but its boring in pure silence :/

Unless it is Dowlin complaining about not beating a laptime when his average is already 1sec faster than anyone else... :P

And apparently my redline was shorter than everyone elses but mines 8000 rpm, same as Reflex & Jolliff87s :/ dont understand that
