A track with potential for sure, when you get into a rhythm. Prehaps the TVR is a bit of a beast for the tight sections and a lower powered car would work really nice at Black Fell Park?

I had a bit of a nightmare after the 'shower' during qualifying - started on bloody inters!!! in the dry :ill:

Still it was a nice solid race even if we were light on drivers! Which reminds me, if you read this Joy, unless something came up tonight, I hope you will be able to make more appearances in S5, as you did say you were in for tonight, but you didn't show :indiff:

Anyway, on with the show....

Congratulations go out to jamesybograt for winning the TGT Championship! 👍

It looks like geordie139 is on to snatch the Club Racing number 1 spot next week as jamesy won't be here, but the overall Season may just come down to the wire and the final TSR!

I know and I´m sorry, 30 minutes before you launched the server, I was training, I did a 1.5.600 in the dry. But my mom called and said that she needed my help with the cat, I had to take him to the vet :( sorry mate, for season 5 I´ll try to appear more

Hey no worries, I thought something must have been up, its just if I know anyone is going to be a bit late I'd hang on before I start the race count down :)

Might have to give Friday a miss :(:(

Just remembered this coming weekend will be the first time in about 8 years me and Mrs Geordie will have a full weekend without any kids, mothers taking them to see the pandas at Edinburgh zoo.

I'll try to make it but have a feeling we might be going out,i'll let you know either way before hand.

After an interesting conversation with Jamesy about the forthcomming S5 and the introduction of PP for the Club Racing....

As an example (without giving anything away) the argument of max tuning then power limiting will always rage on, but to give you an example, my chosen car, if it was max tuned then only the power limiter was used to get it to PP 455, the difference in BHP is staggering! - Max Tune then limited - 10 BHP gone even though the same weight and PP!!!

In my opinion, that 10 BHP far outstrips the 'gain' in torque....but what do I know, we'll see on race day!

Also Jamesy let slip that he has a couple of cars chosen.......unfortunately that won't help, as we will all be in the room ready to qualify, and I'll be looking out for anyone who goes back into their garage after being on the track to 'change' their cars!!!! :sly:

What you've chosen is what you've chosen, no checking out the competition and suddenly deciding to change cars  Olympic spirit and all that!

I will compile a list of what your car is when you first enter the track, that is final, no changing after that, so be sure you are happy with your choice before you start!

As a bit of a test, why not use high speed ring as a proving ground in the lead up to S5. Drivers privately test their chosen club car here, and post lap times.

Example..The car I may use I have done a 1:18.672 at HSR. That is using the DS3, so more time to come off with the wheel.

I'll test mine at HSR tomorrow and report back :)

will test mine soon but will need to know how the room is set up and weather it is online or just in practice..but did a little at grand valley east and got a 1:11.8 in a practice room ,offline..

I was going to test offline,(practice) with grip real and tyre fuel wear on. Just to get a time to post in the thread. This way we can see if our choice of cars are going to be evenly matched. HSR should be a good track to do this test .

Im really interested in this series, as it is the biggest of the official race series in my suitable timezone.

But one question, do I have to participate in all of the events in a season, in case I don't have a DLC track bought that a race is on or I couldn't participate in an event because of a real-life thing?

Also, how do I register for Season 5? I didn't see a link or anything like that in the OP, although I could've missed it.

Omnius will answer in more detail later I am sure, but you dont have to take part in every race, that is why it is divided into 3 disciplines. Championship, club and TSR. Omnius will add you to the grid for S5. Welcome to Core GT.

Hi Henry

To register all you need to do is mention you'd like to enter. Season 5 begins on 24th August so you are well in time, we do have 2 races of Season 4 to complete this week and next, so you could either enter those to get a feel for racing with us, or just get prepared for Season 5.

You don't need to be here for every event (we know real life can get in the way at times :sly: ) and as far as DLC tracks go, you will see from the Season 5 Time Table, I'll be using Spa and Twin Ring.

Unlike Season 4, as ade3210 mentioned there were 3 individual tournaments that made up the whole season, Season 5 only has 2 - The Championship including 2 Endurance events and the Club Racing including 1 Endurance event. So you have the option to go for 1 or both titles which combine to give us our overall season winner.

If you are interested all I need is for you to post your car colours (wheels and car) for both your Championship car and Club car - but remember, keep your Club car secret! I will also need your RM number (check the current S4 leaderboards to see what numbers have already gone as some of those drivers will be back for Season 5)

Welcome to the CORE! 👍

Thanks for the tip - how did I forget to mention how you enter!

OP updated under the SEASON 5 banner! >>>>

Season Entry Requirements.

All drivers must post their Championship and Club Car colours
(Car & Wheels)

And RM number of choice.

For this season you must NOT reveal your Club Car until our first Club Race!

just did a quick 5 lap practise on HSR to test the time's to come
first session quickest 1:15.451 (need a little set up time for this high speed track)
should set a reasonable standard though.
so when we get to some of the more twisty tracks it will be all about getting the handling right with the sports hard tyres.

I'm getting 1:18's at HSR (Car not setup for this track as we will be visiting there in the Championship) so its possible that I have the car more suited to slower tracks...... :sly:

As it looks as if everyone (and with our new driver sigining up) are getting into the spirit of testing their secret cars I would hate anyone to be putting the practice in choosing a Club Car only to fall at the first hurdle with what is allowed within the 455 PP....so as a reminder, here is the rule from the OP >>>

REQUIRED CAR - Club Racing/Northlander

Any 'Standard' Model @ PP 455

Production cars ONLY!
(No race/tuned/custom or concept cars)

Full use of Aero Allowed, Unrestricted Tuning

No 4WD

Oil Change, Engine Re-Builds/Restorations Allowed

Sports Hard Tyres
:)

Can someone post the specs for the ginetta please.
I fiddled with it to use in a seasonal and I've forgot what weight and bhp its meant to be.

had a look at my super fast car and it's a maybe (think it did go into production but with another company)
no tuner cars does that mean RUF, SPOON, ACURA NISMO, etc etc..

what do you win after the season
currently my clan do 5 races per week and have 3 cars up for grabs for the top 3 finnishers.

Bragging rights

As we have been playing for so long most of us have that many cars, car prizes didn't seem worth it, especially if you've already got them

Suggestions? 💡

Looks like I will be racing this Friday :):)

All I need to do is get pole and win both races this week( if jamesy is MIA),then finish ahead of jamesy and omnius in the TSR next week and I should win by 2 or 3 points.

Simple as that. Lol
