Anyone else have this car in your garage?
Stock equipped with Race Hards, 628HP, 1168KG...
I was attempting to tune under the following conditions, transmission at 271mph, aero set to minimum of 20/40, LSD default at 10/40/20.
My first instinct was to put it on Sport Softs as I do about everything and tune a spec for it, I tried every trick I know to get maximum grip to the back wheels... no go...
So I equip the stock Race Hards, on the stock suspension setup, it's way too stiff, so I do my usual pre-tune neutralization and drop the dampers all to 4 and the anti-roll bars to 2. Race Hards still spin like crazy, drop the springs some more, no help there either, not to help matters either the bottom limit of the spring rate range is still too high, 4.2F and 3.5R is as low as it goes... I'm thinking it really needs to be something along the lines of 2.1F and 1.7R in actuality.
I did try a maximum weight shift +15F/-35R and -35F/-35R when I attempted tuning it to Sport Soft with no success, will try the same with Race Hard... but I'm thinking this is the first car where I really feel the need to just jump straight onto Race Medium or Race Soft tires I've come across.
On the neutralized pre-tune setup, driving Race Hards down the straight after having spun them a little bit in the corner, they just stay light pink and don't fade back towards white cause of all the torque being put on them... I'm thinking the car has more like 1200HP under the hood...
Just wondering if anyone attempted to tune this yet or had a sweet spot in your hearts for it... I love the challenge, think it's my new favorite red headed step child.
Edit: Since someone else revived the other thread for this car about the same time I started this one, I posted a raw tune for them to try there - reposted here.
Played with it some more, bipolar car... seems a bit more stable at higher than default shock but I'm pretty sure if I could get under the minimum allowed spring rates it would like those also, feels too stiff all around, the extra spring rate boost just helps to make it so rigid it becomes a stable drift car. Just something I was toying with but you can try the raw spec below:
+ Chassis Reinforcement (may be a little too rigid, optional)
+ Aero @ 50/70 for Racing, 20/40 for Formula Drift (seasonal drift trial car possibly)
+ Transmission @ 273 MPH (max, for lengthy predictable gears without sudden shifts)
+ LSD @ 30/60/30 (seems to help a fair bit at these extremes, still touchy on corner, and oversteer and floor it for Formula Drift)
+ Ride Height 0 F / 0 R
+ Springs 10.6 F / 8.5 R
+ Rebound 5 F / 5 R
+ Bound 5 F / 5 R
+ Anti-Roll Bar 3 F / 3 R
+ Camber 0.0 F / 0.0 R (or you can try the default)
+ Toe 0.00 F / 0.00R
