Here's a tune I've been tweaking for the past few hours to get the fastest run at the Extreme Series - American race at Indy. It pays out $117,000 per win. Here's the setup for a 42.5 sec lap (my personal best):

This is for the ZR1 with racing mods and soft racing tires

AERO: F-35 R-30
Transmission - 242 max speed

Suspension:

Ride Height F-0 R-0
Spring Rate F-16 R-16
Extention F-4 R-4
Compression F-7 R-7
AR Bars F-2 R-2

Camber F-1.0 R-0.0
Toe F-0.00 R-0.10

Once you get your line down you can pul turns at 210MPH + and get the whole race done pretty fast.

I love the way the car handles on indy. 4.5+ second gap over 2nd place AI.

Thanks 👍

Edit: Using the tuning for Like The Wind. Best I did was a 5 second gap :D

What is your LSD setting ?

42.294 after killing every single driving aid (who cares ABS).

I'm quite puzzled and impressed by the simplicity and the efficienty of this setup ! 👍

Yeah the competition in that race is a bit more stiff, and it pays less. If you jump down to the american challenge and do Indy there, If you have the 1.05 patch it pays out 117,000 Cr. and you'll win by a LOT. The last race i did, I caught the field and almost started lapping them.

It's whatever stock was. I never tweaked it. I started the 9 hour Tsukuba on b spec a while ago, so i'll repost with the LSD info for you in the A.M., if you're not sure where it was stock.
It's 10/40/20 stock with an advanced LSD. Well done on this setup ! I give up making a Corvette for this race + road, because I think you have almost the max potential of this car (I never brake on my 42.294 turn) :)

I'm currently Level 21 so I cant do the other series yet.

But definitely, I'll grind in the other race when the time comes :sly:

In the mean time, this tune keeps those pesky LM Group-C cars away from me :dopey:

I used the ZR1RM for a long time on indy. Then I won the GT LM Spec II. I run consistent high 42 sec laps without even tuning the car.

it works real nice man, good job.

the only drawback I see to this tune is that if you tried to race with it on a regular circuit, it would be an epic failure, but i'm guessing you have a different tune to use for regular racing.

With stock tunings (except gear top speed at 380kph/236mph and downforce at one notch under maximum) I run can consistant 41's with ease. Would think setup tuning should lower that even more? My total time is low to mid 3:34:xxx. I have invested in soft racing tyres though, maybe that is the difference? I get barely above 360kph on the end of the straights and I keep above 330kph in every corner. The high downforce is worth it by sacrificing top speed for corner speed I think. The car has 905bhp and 1100kg exactly when oil is fresh.

Yeah I used that car to grind this race first, but it dosent pick up speed like the ZR1, which is why I switched. It's definetly a great car for this race, though.

Dont wanna start a new topic cause this "seems to fit"
Take this as new type of challenge, something your driving skill cant change ;)

I was going to post my drivers times, etc. But given the fact that top speed is limited by the drivers lvl and overall car performance is subject to change due to oil and engine deteriorating.
So, lets leave out comparisons in times and focus more on "how you got your best lap" Or, with what settings.

Telling him to speed up or maintain speed DOES NOT seem to help his lap times. Regardless of his suck-o-meter. Mine is very "hotheaded" driver.
Telling him to slowdown does nothing eighter.
Tell him to speed-up and the rivals slow down, dont do nothing and they catch up... Even tho my lap-time wont seem to change.

Mine also has an issue of braking a lot... Is there a way to stop him from doing that? Settings have no difference what so ever. Still slows down in the specific spot for the same amount. Allways...

With settings posted for suspension, my driver seems to do allmost 1s slower laps. Downforce at max he seems to get best top-speed with GB set at 380kmh. (344-347kmh before he hits the left peddle, lvl30)

Great setup. Only thing I changed was rear down force to 55. A lot more stable coming out of the turns and even down the straights. Wth the rear at 30 the rear swayed back and forth just about the whole way down the straight.

My HP is at 892 best lap was 42 even. I think it was around 43 with my previous setup.

Thank you for posting this tune :)

I used it last night, and won by 4 secs at both indy venues, and I was driving pretty bad.

Nice work !

Dude, thanks for the excellent tune. I used it on the 96 Z06 RM B spec at Indy American race with some of Sail's tune (LSD 10-20-10) and i turned the brake balance to 0-0 to keep Bob from braking I think. Anywho, Bob has a 4 second lead at lap 10 of 20. Again thanks, awesome tune! :)

that tuning for the vette is nice thank you. but if you can do that with the vette i would like to se what u can do with the ford gt race car.thats what i was using.try itand let me know if you can.thx again

This is a very good tuning dude, I thought I wasted my money on this car that everyone goes crazy about, but I was getting nothing out from it. I wasted $4.7m just on R10, if I had seen this earlier I would have been so much richer.

After tweaking the setup a little I was able to run a 41.576 in the American challange w/o drafting and with all aids turned off, that was with the controller too not a steering wheel :ill:
