did anyone watch ths, i liked it when carl edwards and that other guy went screaming down daytona's pit lane at 180mph, and didnt get penalized! this is beacause nascar rules state the if your forced down pit lane, you can kepp going at any speed down the pits, beacause of this, carl edwards and that other gy went down the pits at 180mph, and accually gaind postitions from where they went in, i think that would only happen once every 5 years, but i have to conrgadulate carl edwards and his #99 team for putting on a spectacular show Fri., and that awesome backflip!!!! 👍

:odd: :irked: Hmmm... this is one reason that Nascar sucks ass. Whatever... My dad wanted to see it too. Mostly for the fact Toyota was bringing the tundra out. He just got one.

And the brand new Toyota Tundra finished 2nd in it's first major NASCAR series race ever. Congrats to them.

And don't judge a sport by it's fans. I'd be willing to bet there are some yokels in the world who watch Formula 1.

I'm not judging it by the fans I'm judging it by the fact that well in this case... one they are freakin trucks and two nascar is not racing. I don't want to start an argument but that's just the way I feel.

You do know in Europe they race big rigs in a Formula 1 support series, right? Is that real racing just because they don't use ovals?

 I know about that too... That isn't racing either... I thought about mentioning that too. IRL is borderline racing as well(at least the oval racing one). Drag racing isn't really racing to me either.

That was the first time ever I actually felt like watching a whole NASCAR related race. I liked watching those Toyotas running next to the Dodges, Fords and Chevys.
Travis Kvapil was awesome all night with his Tundra. Rookie David Reutimann (sp) was looking pretty competitive at times too (also in a Tundra)
That part with Carl Edwards and the other dude going down pit lane at practically full throttle, then rejoining the pack at the exit was nuts, I got a kick out of it. 👍

I just might tune in to the NCTS next time around. There's something about watching those trucks that I like that I don't get while seeing the Nextel or Busch cars. Let it be known I'm still a very keen WRC, open-wheel and sports car aficionado. ;)

In fact there are. Once on "Windtunnel" some guy from Alabama called in asking some stuff about the new track in India F1 will race on, and I think he asked about a few F1 drivers too. The guy also had a strong... um, 'southern accent'.
I was honestly flabbergasted, pleased, but still mighty confused.

So, lets see, you're only allowed to race cars and only allowed to race road courses. How closed minded...

The Truck series has slightly different rules from Nextel and Busch cars, they usually bang into each other more, a lot more aggresive drivers which makes the racing more exciting.

yeah that was totally awesome, thatll prolly be the best pass al weekend hahaha

Good job to Toyota. They didn't win, but a DAMN good start for them. I mean, Toyota in America's most popular series is the only reason why I'll be following the NASCAR Trucks this season to see how Toyota does. I was kind of interested to see a Japanese racer race DTM, so that's why I wanted to see how Kaneishi would do in DTM.

Maybe my interest in Japan is driving me in motorsport.
