I drift with the NSX in proffessional mode and I can still win. I rather not use simulation tires because its over exagerated drifting. I use slicks or super soft to get better traction for racing, however I set up my break balance as 9 front and 24 rear and I perform the fient motion drift with a hard break when I'm shifting weight and turning the car into the corner I slam hard on the breaks and my rear begins to swing around and drift. This sets the NSX into a drift and I counterstear and gas as needed. This is a great method to drift and I still come out of a corner just as fast a grip driving, maybe faster, because I have always been able to catch up to the cars. If I had used simulation tires, I would not get the traction to pull out of the drift with higher speeds. It definately not as long of a drift as with simulation, but its funner to race oppenents and watch the replays as you drift by them to win.
If you think about it, grip driving you plan on breaking before entering a corner, this time just time of slowing your car down by fienting and sliding on your side.
Give it a try!
