This idea came to me around the launch of GT6, sorry I'm tardy to the party. I was thinking that it would be neat to have cross platform interactions with future Gran Turismo releases.
Say for instance, You get a GT PS4 release, or a new update on gt6. well, I believe with this release or update, there should be an optional companion app available for PS vita in which you can tune, customize and manage your cars, change your racing gear, purchase and sell vehicles, manage B-spec races and make use of social features that allows you to interact with the community, all without having to be glued to a seat in front of a monitor the whole time.
And in racing, I hope it may become possible to utilize the vita as a real time analyzer, (speed, lap times, transmission RPMs, lateral G's, fuel, etc.,) make necessary adjustments on the fly, track lap times, and even use the vita as a rearview mirror.
I believe that the few benefits of this is that when racing, your screen display will be uncluttered, and it will make ownership of a PS vita a little more fun and meaningful.
and I was even thinking of suggesting the development of an "AR hobbyist" photo mode, which uses the Vita's AR cards to build virtual scale model cars that you can take pictures of.
I thought I would submit this short idea to the gods of gtplanet for thoughts on the idea. I look foward to recieveing your feedback ^^
