I can't believe it. I have never seen such bad race coverage ever. At the end, during the race for 2,3, they pan to DC's girlfriend, several pit crews, and dn't show the race. Then, at 16 to go, they decied to take a commercial break. That took 7 minutes, and ate 6 laps.

Sigh... I wish speedvision was in charge of filming and broadcasting that race...

That's interesting cause I was unsure to why F1 wasn't all that popular in the :USA: Well if you get bad coverage over there it ain't surprising....

I hear Canadians are big F1 fans but not so much Americans?

Here in :uk: we get excellent coverage on the channel ITV and you can pay for another channel, F1 Digital gives uninterrupted interactive viewing....nice :gcar:

The reasons are numerous. I do not think the lack of Americans is as much of a problem as is believed. Immersion is a problem. We grow up with NASCAR and the F1 similar CART, and they race on several oval tracks.

The Japanese cars that rally and do touring car series are not marketed featuring that fact to any great degree. The IS300(Altezza) races?

Average man on the street has no idea the Escort is a famous racer.

Point is that road racing does not have the hold of oval racing and that while many of your cars are in everything from BTCC to races for Tuscans to international races, most here know of the Viper and Vette, and I doubt the special FIA GT based Vipers are that big a deal for Viper fans here.

Immersion
Lack of passing
Preference for high speed.
And, yes, lack of Americans does matter.
