Hi, I've already posted this on the UK Official GT forums, and thought I'd post it here aswell.

I have an interest in participating in a racing championship entirely on custom maps, and wondering if anyone else out there would like to participate in weekly or fortnightly races.

I think 16 drivers, competing over 16 events (1 track per driver) would make a good championship, with the track creator possibly having the advantage of that track, it would also be wise to keep all participants cars the same class (e.g. SuperGT cars limited to 550PP).

What do you guys think??

I currently have 9 drivers interested in this championship, although none from this forum yet. =(

The races will be taking place weekly at around 10:00 - 13:00 GMT (Time not settled upon yet) every Sunday.

With a 30-minute free run on the weeks track, before a 45-minute championship race.

Still need a few more drivers to make the total competitors upto 12 or 16, let me know if you have a track you'd like to enter into the championship and compete on.

yh im game for taking part i think 16 players might be a bit of an ask to start off with. 10 may be more reliable for a fledgling weekly event, also i think u may wanna cut the race time to around 30 mins for the same reason, just my opinion. i could go for an 11.00 am gmt practise then racing afterwards but i work nights on the weekend so am not up earlier than this in the mornings. also regarding track specs there need to be some rules put in place things like length, weather, so were not racing 30 mile laps in the rain everyrace. ill get a decent track sorted out ready for your inspection.

I agree with you on that, it may be best to have the races only 30mins long. So I think a good structure would be to have a 15-20min free-run starting at around 11 GMT, with the race proper starting at 11:30 GMT and being roughly 30mins in length.

Regarding tracks, I'm not sure if any regulations be put on them, but I will work out how many laps should be driven to meet the 30min race length.

Also, to ensure even new drivers can compete I think it may be a good idea to allow certain driving assists, as well as having all tracks dry. I think the driving line should be off for the race, so it is upto the participants to learn the track either in their own time or during the pre-race free run (which will have driving line on).

What do you think about this?
