I picked this up in UCD and restored in GT Auto. For some reason it just doesn't feel right - like the way an S2000 drives in past experience with regular models and the Spoon.

This car has one of the best paint jobs of any race car imo and i love looking at it but cannot race it to save my life. I was hoping maybe somebody would be kind enough to take it from me to try a custom tune, borrow/dupe a copy for themselves and return it when done?

At the moment the steering is not responsive enough for me and the brakes slow the car too much. Trying handbrake turns at corners isn't really what I'm used to so its hit and miss. In this car though it seems its the only way to turn the car short of dropping to about 20mph.

I would really appreciate it if somebody who knows what to do might fancy the challenge of making a S2000 feel more like an RX-7 in the way it handles.

Anyone kind enough to jelp and up for the challenge?

If so pls let me know I can send it over to you tonight. Many thanks guys! :)

If your not getting much steering response try setting front toe to +0.10 and rear to -0.10. That should improve response alot. I will check if I have this car when I get on GT5 and i'll have a go at a setup for it.

You should definatly try this tune from RKM

Tuner Comments:
I decided to get out my happy pink and black S2000 LM racer, and stick a big turbo on it today. The result? An S2000 LM Turbo.

With a few tweaks here and there, and a new gearbox to try and use some of this car's (lack of) torque, this is going to be my new favorite 525-540pp car. It is surprisingly smooth and extremely stable, and the brakes are more than a little insane. I just hope everyone enjoys this car as much as I do.

You should definatly try this tune from RKM

thanks dude Ill set it up in slot B

excellent, ill put them all through their paces in Cote D'Azur my favourite time trial track (i can't unlock Top Gear one cus i still can't win the SambaBus race lol :( )

Slot A: Stock specs
Slot B: RKM Tuner
Slot C: SHMO Tuner

Ill endeavour to give them 5 laps each and record best lap times. So far I've been testing it on Fuji Speedway and the SHMO Tuner was aceing those corners!! :)

OK I've just finished doing time trials. Bear in mind I'm not the best racer and I only did 5 laps with each set-up.

I'm going to list the other lap times I'd already recorded to give an idea of how good the car does in general, although most of the other cars listed I've tuned a lot.

1. BMW M5 '08 ...........................................................1.35.207
2. Ford GT (No Stripe) '05 ............................................1.37.035
3. Honda S2000 LM Race Car (Team SHMO).......................1.39.608
4. Honda S2000 LM Race Car (RKM)................................ 1.41.191
5. Honda S2000 LM Race Car (Standard)......................... 1.42.212

6. McLaren F1 '94........................................................1.43.518
7. TVR Tuscan Speed 6 RM '00.......................................1.44.283
8. Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone Prototype CN '67............1.44.618
9. High End Performance G37 .........................................1.45.245
10. Toyota FT-86 G Sports Concept '10.............................1.46.536
11. Acura NSX RM '91 ....................................................1.55.210

But of course times dont tell the whole story. With RKM & Standard my first lap was my best. With SHMO it was my last lap which was able to beat RKM but it had Standard beaten by lap 3.

Overall if you like to drift more the SHMO is better i think but it seems to take longer to hit top speed on straights - however the SHMO's acceleration with the early gears is incredible and will get you moving fast from a halt.

The RKM is generally more stable when cornering but struggles a bit more at chicanes and tight corners in general. It is best to simply release the gas pedal and steer around tight bends rather than use handbrake tunrs as the SHMO version is able to accelerate out quicker so maintaining speed is slightly more important.

Most importantly though they were both significantly more fun to drive than the standard model and both take corners a lot better.

It was interesting to me that this car actually beats my beloved McLaren F1 as it is a beast but then again it is Cote D'Azur.

Thanks to the tuners and to those who pointed them out to me. I really wanted to like this car because it looks incredible and now I get to love it!! :)
