Custom Transmission Problems

Custom transmission allow you to be able to input the appropriate gear ratios... this is a "driving simulator" right? Why is it that I can not for the first time ever in a driving game input REAL ratios? I own a 94 Toyota MR2 with a full GTS conversion... I play the game for fun obviously to replicate me driving my car on famous tracks... so why cannot I not put REAL ratios in that match a real car in the game???

I am a huge Sony fan, I love Playstation... I hate Xbox... buuuut... Forza 4 and 5 are 10 times better... on every level. They really ****ed up with GT6. They should have just tweaked Prologue.

4th - 0.918
5th - 0.731

Id be able to add a gear for a 6 speed with a little math but ya

Doesn't look too special.


I'll see what I can do and let you know tomorrow (means in about 8-9h).
There are certain ways to set gear ratios that normally aren't in the available range.



Although I'll have to do it with a fully customizable transmission, so you'd have 6 gears in case it really does have that many.

Ya its not meant to be anything special ... Its a 90's MR2 . Video games are based upon fantasy, but if I can pretend and make myself believe its close to the real deal then I will. Ya lemme know what happens. Thanks

I'll try it with the MR2 GT-S '97


EDIT:

It does work!

1. Final Gear 3.500
2. Max. Speed 261mph / 420km/h
3. Set single gear ratios
4. I used 0.624 for 6th gear, based on a rough calculation/estimation.
5. Final Gear 4.285

ORDER IS IMPORTANT!

Do never again touch "max. speed" after you've done this, otherwise you'd lose all gear ratios!
Single gear ratios and final gear can be adjusted as much as you want though.

Nice! Its just weird. I have never had a game visually not allow me to input numbers/data... seems GT6 just got a bit more annoying. Eitherways thanks Ill have to check it out

It was the same in previous GT titles.
