the quality of the entries for an open rules competition is not as good as i expected,
but the viper and the nissan really stand out. as for composition and lighting, i went with the Viper. the Silvia looks good too, with the nice rims and all, but the shadows are a bit off. i would've went with evening out the shadows under the tires and added some more darkness to give the viewer a sense of a soft box with a butterfly type studio lighting set up, or went with a dark background instead to make things easier like i did with my elise project. the Viper also looks cleaner and well exposed. the Skyline could've been so much better in many ways as well. it's a tad underexposed, and could've been so much sharper. for an open comp, a lot could've been done with that shot. but i do like the action in it, the shot itself looks realistic to be honest. but with all the tools and options available, i think it could've been so much better. just my two cents. haven't been here for a while so i just thought i'd give my view on what i see here. glad to know everyone still participates. well done everyone!
