You may submit one entry. It must be your own work and not previously entered in a competition.
You may only change your entry once. When changing it, indicate clearly (please, when doing this, edit your post with your new entry, do not submit a new post with a new entry)

Your entry may not exceed the poll character limit. (5 characters are enough to name your image). If your entry exceeds it, the link to the full size image, will be removed.

Previews should be no larger than 400 pixels along the longest side - be it vertical or horizontal - and should not have more or less effects than the full size image.

that would've been a nice picture if not for the car being out of focus and a pixelated background. other than that, it's nicely composed.

I made the rest pixelated for a reason as to make the car the focus. The background is inconsequential.

no it's not. the pixelation takes away from the whole composition as a huge defect, and ruins the whole picture. that's what shallow depths of field are usually for. pixelations and any other unecessary and unnatural elements in the picture, even just small sensor dust in real life cameras for example are enough
to ruin a whole frame. i wouldn't be surprised if that entry doesnt even get one vote. i suggest you change it now before the poll starts, but that's just my suggestion. i wouldn't notice that ugly pixelation if it's supposed to focus on the car. if you're gonna do that, you should've done the whole thing like an 8-bit effect if you know what i mean. another thing you can fix there is the surface of the car. it's too blurry and is losing definition.
so yeah, i guess it is Consequential after all. it's a shame coz the lighting and the wheel and color combo looks so good. your comment didn't help making a better impression either. such an amateur reply. i'd rather vote for a proper, uneditted work than that one.

This is really unnecessary. What he's done with the image is obviously intentional. If you don't like what he's done with it, that's fine. But you don't have to be insulting about it.

IMO- Background is never inconsequential, it is one of the many elements of the shot. A bad background can ruin a shot just as easily as a poor foreground or bad lighting. You would be better off axing the background for a solid color backdrop, than what you did with the over pixelation.

I don't think jg was insulting, he was just offering his opinion and calling a spade a spade. A comment like "the background is inconsequential" is an amateurish comment, if the background is inconsequential why is it even there; after all this is a open edit week.
