D-Max's GTPlanet Drift Tournament: Section Demonstration now up

Welcome all to the D-Max GTPlanet Drift Tournament​

This will be the first GTPlanet Drifting Forum event to give out actual prizes and hopefully will bring out the best drifters from the forum and bring in others to compete for the Prizes​

The Prizes on offer will be the following:​

1. £40/$40 Gift card voucher for you're selected store & A lifetime subscription to GTPlanet Premium
   
2. £20/$20 Gift card voucher for you're selected store & A lifetime subscription to GTPlanet Premium
   
3. 1 Year subscription to GTPlanet Premium

The Tournament will be run by selected D-Max members who choose NOT to participate in the event. A list of these team members will be stated and highlighted in red next to those who are taking part in the tournament. There will also be 4 chosen judges who will be used
throughout the whole tournament and will not change unless real life gets in the way. In that case we will have 2 judges ready and waiting to be used as backups if more than 1 judge is ineligible. There will be qualifying laid out so that everyone gets a fair shot. All drivers must do laps in front of A judge
or e-mail you're run to the judges. After the qualifying section drivers will be placed into A tournament bracket where they will then go head to head against each other until we have A winner.

The rules for the tournament are pretty simple and I hope everyone can stick to them.
1. Only 1 car & colour scheme per the whole tournament. (May purchase a new car but must be the same model)
2. Horsepower limit of up to 600 BHP. (Subject to change)
3. Comfort Hard Tyres Only.
4. Drivetrain must be FR to allow an even playing field.
5. Any comments made by competitors that the judges are being biased will automatically be kicked from the competition.
6. [BAN LIFTED] Possibly no use of Mazda RX7 FD (Premium Model) due to it's very high ability to drift at speed. (Subject to Change)
7. Street Cars only. No Race modified Premium models allowed.

Qualification
I would like all runs to be completed by 20/07/2011 which is A Wednesday. Any of the entrants who have not submitted a run to be judged will not participate.

The Track of choice will be Cape Ring North. The Section is marked below....






I would like runs to be submitted by 2 methods. You can ask a judge to go online and judge you're run there and then. If no judges are available I ask if it is then possible to save you're replay and send it through E-Mail if possible. This blocks any issues with lag.(If this method is used remember to use Track Edge Real and Tyre wear [ON])

Like i said.. say a competitor from the uk. GMT and a competitor from GMT-8 then we will have to baattle at the weekend or simply try and change up the competitors if they cannot find a way around this. no set time will be given as they are harder to stick by.

what happens in the event that competitors cannot connect to each other due to "Network Incompatibility" or if one competitor cannot see the other competitor?

This is a frequent occurrence with North American users connecting to European users.
