D1 GRAND PRIX August 31th $2 OFF ADMISSION

D1 Plans to make its first ever international appearance at the Irwindale Speedway on August 31, 2003. Anticipating the drifting craze to break open in the United States, D1 will show to the American Public 16 of its top drivers/teams in a special night time competition. Look for the entire D1 crew to be in attendance, including the Drift King himself, Keiichi Tsuchiya. Slipstream will operate this United States invitational competition. In addition to the competition, the event will also feature a car show, special autograph session, pit area tour, "how to build your own drift car" installation and much more.

We will be setting up a temporary D1 competition course in the middle of the 1/2 mile oval. The grandstands will provide an awsome view of the entire competition. In addition to the world class drifting competiton there will be plenty of things to see and do, including:

8:00 am vendor/sponsor set-up begins
10:00am car show roll-in begins
2:00pm vendor/sponsor & car show set-up ends
3:00pm gates open to the public
4:00pm car show judging begins
5:00pm - 6:00pm D1 group one practice session
6:00pm - 7:00pm D1 group two practice ession
7:30pm - 9:30pm D1 competition
9:30pm awards ceremony
10:00pm event ends

Tickets will be sold at the door.
Car show entry - $40 (includes car spot and 2 tickets)

I wich i had tickets for this sunday =[. no one wants to tkae me there. i still wich i could go and watch. i bet that this will be the most crowded than the other 2 shows that was irwindale. this one coming up has been it some magazines. i wouldn't be suprized if EVREY seat was taken up.

i'm so excited about D1 that i can't sleep...i've been waiting day by day for months now... i already got my tickets ( yes! )... i juss hope it doesn't get too over populated to the point where the population affects me... i'm already anticipating a sell-out crowd but watever...i'm still gonna have fun!!!
