Yeah, no kidding. How many Formula D events are on the East Coast? If I can ever afford it, I'm going to buy a '90-93 Ford Mustang GT to do a 3D (Drag, Drift and Drive) and some road racing. I was thinking about doing that with a Chevrolet S-10 to be very different, but I'll stick to something I know how to work on.

S-10's are cheaper to run and own. They are also very simple to work on since the motor was designed in the early 90's, so they aren't super complex. They also would "drift" really well since there is not weight in the back end. All it would need would be some more power. But enough rambling about that.

But the reason drifting events are on the West Coast is because people from California like that kind of stuff more. It's were the largest fan base is. If a drifting event came to Michigan I bet the turnout would suck. They just take the events to the people.
