I can't wait to see D1gp styled events in gt5.

Most of you already know that Gran Turismo is a sponsor of D1gp.

You can see their logo splashed across the top of the windshield of most cars.

-D1 Drift cars
-CPU tandems
-D1 judging format
-D1 and Formula D selective track layouts
-Career mode
-Online D1 events,registration, and signup

Where's your facts that say any of this coming? I was hoping they would pull the drift events altogether or fix the scoring system.

-Well, I'm already expecting a handful of D1 cars for sure so that can be checked off.
-As for CPU tandems, I really doubt we would get to see this, the AI is already dumb while doing normal racing, I can't imagine it doing drifting which is driven so much on driver's instincts.
-D1 Judging format, just like Articzap said, would end up being flawed if the point scoring is just brought over from GT5P.
-The tracks...Well, we already got some of them and in the full game I'm expecting to see some more, so even if there isn't a real career mode in the full game all depending in drifting, us, the users, can create our own with a bunch of friends online.

I am definitely hopefully that there will be a lot of D1 cars and tracks in GT5 as you are correct right under the D1GP banner is the GT banner. But i don't know if they will go as far as you say (although if they did, the wait for me would have been well worth it). I just hope they get a lot of the D1 spec cars in there and the tracks. Everything else comes second. 👍

I also noticed the gran turismo sponsorship on all the d1 cars
and was hopefull that it will make it into the game.
the judging sytem on the ps2 D1 game was very good in my opinion.
and it had skidmarks
and tandem cpu battles
so why not?
I just wished it had gran turismo physics.

I agree, i played the Japanese version of the D1 game on ps2 (friend had a chipped ps2 who lived with me at the time) and even with the DFP wheel and 900* it was still pretty fun, although not all that realistic. I also played the USA version which was GARBAGE compared to the Japanese version. I just saw on gamestop website they are showing pre-order of GT5 to be released 11/1/10!!! WTF i better be able to smell the tires burning as i'm getting sideways.....
