Picked this car up from buddy and will use it for D1SL this coming season.

Only thing I have done to it is wheels for winter driving. all the other stuff was there before I got it and done damn fine By Mr. E and friends..no matter im going to do my work under the skin where it matters.. The car is already a solid drifter but im going to make it a comp car.. big difference I have learned this past season.

To start the engine will be pulled and Ill spot weld the bay and other crucial points of the car. Will be lowered back in with a carbon twin disc that I got coming. All arms and bushings will be replaced with Zenky-Racing parts from my new partner. *

As soon as I swap the engine in the R33 this week and get that out of the garage, the sil80 will be next up. I will continue to drive my other 180 missile around. Dont want to drive the Sil80 no more than needed.

much more to come from this

How many Nissans do you have? I'm all sorts of jealous with this and the Ironmask, let alone whatever other cars you have.

I japan I have currently:

Dr30-daily driver
R33-back up comp car
Sil80-new comp car
180sx-daily missile

I wrecked my first R33 after two years at the track and wrecked my missile silvia at Ebisu being introduced to Minami.

All this has been made possible by having lots of connections. Im no where near baller status as my stateside buddies may think lol and I consume lots of ramen noodles lol.

Im also not a car whore each car has a purpose and reason for having to buy it. The only ones that get money are the comp cars.

Dec 31 2011

Got the cage in today.. I was wondering what the black tape was there for.. found out gussets were welded to 6 points of the cage while in the previous car as well.. so ill chop those off and weld in new ones. D1SL doesn't require weld in cages ( because its japan and they don't worry about lawsuits like the US has to from guys getting knock off cages in putting them in) Safety 21 cages are run by all 300+ competitors. pretty much are just find and can be modified to get like rigidity of a weld in. Even with out welding, installing the cage properly with plates bolts tightens the car up alone. This is also a thru-dash cage. I wrecked my first R33 after two years of drifting it. I hit very hard in 3rd gear sending the car 5 feet off the ground doing a 180 and landing on a hill. That Safety 21 cage saved my leg from being crushed.

Turbo Specifications:
Compressor side 3" inlet
Exhaust side 0.64 A/R turbine housing, Results:
This turbo is rated up to ~380hp. (Very Similar to a gt2871r turbo)

I asked in great detail about the turbo and was happy to find out that there are a handful of ISIS powered FD Pro Am cars so I know they are being pushed. Also many other test have been conducted and I seen Polens in person. Good turbo and very easy for me to have multiple back ups with my deal through enjuku.

On the last day of driving before shutting it down for the winter, the T/O bearing went out completely seized. Previous owner must of been one of those people who holds the clutch pedal in at lights etc.. DONT DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! T/O bearing is not meant to hold a engines rpms for long periods. Sorry I train people to drive and its the common mistake I see for new manual drivers.

Well got the new OS Giken Twin plate to replace what I thought was going to be another hyper single. It was actually another OS Giken Twin plate badly worn.

Is this you at 0:07? I'm pretty sure that's one of your cars from previous videos youve posted... well that and the fact that you have replied to the video :dunce:

Yes sir that is indeed me also at 0:32.. full video should be coming out soon.

here is my vid from my go pro

Maaaaaan!!!

Nice!!

I wish the whole motorsport scene was more dominant in Europe. Really nice car park you have, and nice hobby!!
Best the pink accent going through your whole garage 👍
So why no pink cage?

hahh its red now with pinkish padding.. drifting and motorsports is my life... hobby to me is something you do on spare time... this takes up all my time. Will be starting my second season under D1 soon. thanks for checking it out!!!

In the UK its pretty popular but just like some America and other countries they seem to be getting it wrong. The UK guys look down on the Japanese scene because we have things like missiles. They hate that we just go out and thrash cars here lol. Japanese are just all about drifting it gets competative but never not fun for one second.

Those Drift Matsuri videos are awesome. I've come to love the amateur drifting scene of Japan. Come to think of it, I remember when the drift craze took place years and years ago, I was a hardcore hater. My, how times and people change.

Whatever you do to this thing, don't change the wheels. they look awesome and pretty different.

Ill keep them lol but will not able to compete with them. one is slightly bent :(.

There is a mixture of pro and semi pro drivers in my video.. the two white 180sx are Suenaga and Kumakubo San. Its awesome in Japan because they don't see themselves as WAY UP HERE and you down there. I have drifted side by side with them and it has helped me get better.

Why do the Japanese have such nice things.

I want a Sil-Eighty so bad

Are you going to keep it black or paint it midnight purple or some other color?

Keeping It black and that works out because black and pink is my scheme!!.

As far as having nice stuff lol, Japanese work very hard for what they have. Most of the guys just like you see in Initial d work at gas stations etc and put every penny into the cars lol.

Been a bit, pictures of most recent dealings. car is about 80 percent complete waiting on a few more batches of parts.

Major changes... after downtime research and hanging with other D1SL drivers, decided to switch to an S15 rear subframe for its added strength and several other reasons. All the parts required to make it fit I already have to include the s15 to s13 conversion bushings.

I have also decided to go with a dual rear caliper setup after talking to some experienced hydro guys. I didn't want the soggy pedal effect at all nor the interference of braking while trying to hydro etc..

now pics

Made these mounts from NA RB25 mounts however but after testing didn't like them I went with hockey pucks ( Old hotrod mod ). Tested them out on my other 180 and they are damn solid, the motor doesn't even rock when starting it up!!

Out after 30min of burning. Next day had to cut and hammer the old sleeves out.. Pain in the rear for sure

Pulling down the s13 sub frame here are some pics to compare the width. this alone adds 10mm's so if you have baller wheels already you will have to add over fenders or flares.

This is the setup of my pluming for the Hydro standalone setup.

LineKit.png

The rest of the products are on the way these are not pics of my car setup. Just using as a reference below

"So what exactly is it? This bracket allows you to use 2 pairs of Z32 rear calipers for AWESOME stopping power. One pair of calipers gets plumbed up like normal and works off of the brake pedal. The other pair gets plumbed SEPARATELY to the hydraulic handbrake. No more weird pedal feel when pulling the e-brake and the footbrake! You now have a dedicated setup for the hydraulic handbrake. "

"- You will need to cut off the OEM brake mounts on the upright.
- Aluminum uprights(Z32, R32, etc) need to have a few places ground down. Quick work with a grinder.
- This will space your wheels out 8mm. It's like adding an 8mm spacer to the wheels. Please keep this in mind if you have flush fitting wheel already.
- We recommend using a 3/4" bore hydraulic handbrake. 5/8" will work as well.
- Allows the proper use of a hydraulic handbrake. No more rigged inline setups that don't work when you need them to!"

Bad sorta as ill have the extra 10mm with the s15 subframe and another 8mm because of these. So ill have to buy weak offset wheels on purpose for the rear.

Requires Mustang rotor's

Today got working on the dual calipers. Had to grind off a bit and cut some things as usual to make them work. Im going to look into some lighter calipers... I picked the whole rear assembly up with my manly strength and im going to say its about maybe 35 to 45 lbs.

Tomorrow going to fill in some of what I grinded off.. took a bit to much off to allow the bolt to clear avoiding having to undo the hub each time. Still plenty of meat there.. just doing it mainly for peace of mind lol.

The rotors pictured are from a Mustang Cobra/Bullitt etc . You will clearly see from the top view that the adapter alone adds 8mm's so if you interested in this kit be careful if you built your car around a certain wheels offset. You may even have to run a weaker rear setup. I will because the s15 rear subframe adds 10mm so that a total of 18mm added without a single spacer.

looks really nice mate 👍

As you own a R33, can you take a look here and give me your advice ?
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=247284

Thanks

For sure will do

Just put the s15 sub-frame with stance solid riser bushings and Yanack Solid rear diff mounts up,. notice how close the wheels are to the body with the car fully suspended!! will be able to let the suspension out some giving more travel etc.

If interested in the dual caliper kit for hydro purpose visit George Marstanovic on fb to place your order. As of now only supports Nissans and Mazdas.
