I’ll be waiting for the shell 962!
Not long now. The shapes have all been done, just the decals to go.

And finally done. Folk kept interrupting me today!

It was good to finally get to put my favourite 962 livery, Shell Dunlop, on the actual car, (almost anyway. It needs a langheck...) There are a few awkward shapes on the car, but it was fairly straightforward. I had to make another few logos for this. I was happy enough to leave some off when I did the 911, 919 and Cayman, but the 962 deserved every single decal, which I think it got!

It is also a bit odd that every single Shell logo is a san-serif font, yet this livery quite clearly uses a serif font. I was unable to find it anywhere else, so I had to make it up but I think it looks fairly accurate.

That first photo is incredible. I thought it was the real car for reference until I saw the gt logo. Amazing!

Dear lord, man. Every single one of these look absolutely incredible. Please keep up the great work. Like these look so good that any photo you take in the game will look real right off the bat.

👍👍👍 (We need a clapping hands smiley)

Superb mate. Very apt & well thought out. Love the first picture, made me laugh.

Got to see it live 50 years ago. Dad woke me up & we watched it together... But I was only 2 & don't remember a damn moment of it. Nuts! :banghead:

Anyway, 3 clapping smileys & a bunch of these,👍

I love your work, however when I try to add your Oor Wullie livery my Atenza it only shows the default livery. All other liveries show fine with all other cars. Is there anything I can do to rectify this problem ?

Are you sure you’re using the Gr.3 Atenza and not the Gr.4?

I'm in the process of making these 2 new British GT Mercs, but I'm having difficulty selecting a colour. I've only looked at the green one so far and none of the chrome or candy metallics are right (to my eyes anyway.) Any suggestions? It's currently on G6 Candy Metallic.

I’ve noticed these two beauties too.

Why not use a fluo pink/green with a 10% or 20% transparent decal over it to alter the tint?

I’m still copying the update so I won’t be able to try tonight.

Try g4 fluorescent with a 50% tint (I started with 25% and duplicated).
OK, err, how do I do the tint thing? :dopey: I've never used transparencies before.

In Inkscape, under the values for RGB you can set the opacity.

If you create a black square with a lower opacity (for example 50 instead of 255), you can alter the tint of the base colour without loosing too much of the chrome, flakes or fluo effects.

It even works to mix gloss and matte effects but the results are not always convincing.
