Unlike the Rally II version, the Rally IV has a four-wheel drive system. The car is powered by the 1.3 litre engine producing 109 HP. Because the Rally II is 50 kilos lighter (due to being an FF car), the Rally IV is slightly slower under normal conditions. However, once the driver decides to install some power upgrades, the AWD system of the Rally IV quickly takes the lead with its superior amount of traction.

This model would replace the current X4 and the two CX models (2WD and 4WD). Warum? The reason is simple, hear me out:

Most people don't like the fact that you can't select more than one colour on the X4 model. You can repaint it, but wouldn't be more enjoyable to have original colours?

In addition, given that the maximum tunable power of the cars in GT games is prescribed according to their engine size, the Rally IV would gain unbelievable advantage here as its engine is almost double the size of the X4's. This was a common problem with the X4 in previous GT games - it had big (and accoladed, given the size of the engine) initial power, but poor tunable power due to limited engine size.

Now, the CX models do have more colours and bigger engines (1.0), but in their case we have really small initial power, so the maximum tunable power still can't be high.

The Rally IV solves all this issues easily. I understand that the X4 is unique, but it has been in GT games for a long time, so it's time for something new. And onsidering how people generally prefer AWD cars with higher tunable power, there are no reasons not to include the car.

Finally, the car is slightly faster than the second generation Sirion Sport ('04 -), which means that this is actually the ultimate Sirion the GT series should have.

Engine: L4 DOHC, 1298 ccm
Power: 109 HP @ 6000 rpm
Torque: 142 Nm @ 4600 rpm
Gearbox: 5-speed manual
Weight: 900 kg
Wheelbase: 2345 mm
Tires: 175/60 R 14

0 - 60 mph: 8,6 sec
Top speed: 112 mph

I actually had a Sirion as my first car in GT6 (sold the Fit and bought the Daihatsu), I support the idea of having the best version of the car as a premium.

Did you buy the CX or the X4 model?

I haven't met anyone wishing to maneuver with CX models. In GT4 they were useful as long as you had enough money to raise their potential to adoptable level. Color choice was interesting along with the fact that you could upgrade them with NA parts, apart from usual Turbo kits.

I bought the X4 (J) model, but that's because it had a higher amount of PP. The difference of PP between the CX and X4 is of 78. :scared:

Uh, and it is pretty expensive too (according to mygranturismo.net). GT5 seems to treat all cars as brand, new vehicles. The prices are almost identical as those found on models in GT2!

No wonder why CX models aren't popular. Besides colors, there is no such argument that would excuse its purchase.

I have updated the OP with improved sentences and some extra tips. Below is the only video I could find on the Sirion Rally. It is the FWD version though.

Well the X4 is one of my favourite cars ever, so naturally this alternative version of the Storia gets my support.

Pretty sure a guy who lives nearby me has one of these Rally versions too, or at least the same body kit as one.
