So i've bought this month's edition of the opm hoping to get some more info on GTM, and to my surprise, the review stated the following ( i'll try to translate so that u can all understand of course:) )

P7020006.jpg

'' (...) Graphically, the game is powerfull and this is one of the cases when the images don't match the reality, (...) and the damage system is finally implemented, a detail that surprised us (the opm waits to see the same in GT5, but it has not yet been confirmed

it also says that GT5 has suffered a little delay and wont be available until 2010

Also, in the other page there is an image of a race with 6 cars on track

Could there really be 6 cars on track in the full version, or is this possibly an image from gt4?

I am afraid the writers of this magazine have things mixed up. On all shots we've seen GTM has maximum of 4 cars and no damage.

I think it's just a case of wrong information.

But please, do prove me wrong :D

I think you're not wrong and besides that I know that the picture below with the six cars is from GT4, I remember very well I saw it once in a PS2 magazine of a preview of GT4.

Isnt that pic from GT4 Prologue?

And yes, they either mean GT5 with the damage or confused something there.

has anybody read "it also says that GT5 has suffered a little delay and wont be available until 2010" :scared:

I know this it all about GT:M but still, GT5 is delayed again!!?? anybody?? Hello?

It's possible I guess, considering the delays of all the other GT games, besides it is possible that making GT Mobile ready for Obtober 1st needs more people of the staff than they assumed, thus less people for GT5, thus the delay of GT5.
TGS will answer all the questions.

Can you please provide me a link which confirms that GT5 has been delayed, like, ever?
They never promised us to release the game in 2009. Or 2010, for that matter, get over it ;)

I don't think you can use the word delay when Sony or Polyphony has yet to announce the official release date. Sony did have GT as part of the game they're planning to release in their current fiscal year which ends in April 2010.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to side with MarcoM. Sounds like the writer is actually talking about GT5. And as for pictures, I'm guessing the editor just used some old photos from a previous issue.

A severe case of "lost in translation" in my opinion... misleading and incorrect info has been frequent on "translated" or "franchised" press.

That's why I don't waste money on them and take everything I read in them as even more uncertain than what I read on the web.

Maybe you can make cars invisible for WiFi races just like other racinggames have this option for online racing, and in GT5P when people drive backwards ;)

Damage isn't in any of the video's or screenshots so don't get your hopes up :)

umm...I think the writers are getting their info mixed up. Kazinori already mentioned that there would only be 4 cars on the track and that there would be no damage. (just a thought though, it's said that there will only be 170 cars in GT5 with damage and there are 800 cars without damage in GTPSP, so..) and as for the delay....well, with everything else screwed up in this article, it's possible they got it wrong as well.

the article is from july, as is the thread, of course is outdated and wrong (well, it was wrong from the begining :dunce:), the recent activity is around the image from the latest GT PSP set of pics on the front page of GTP :)

Well, actually, i'm not sure what the following is actually refers to BUT on the new pictures posted on news section....one of the pics shows a menu which has collision with an option on and presumably off

It should be Column 3, row 8

What do you think this means???

To back my suggestion, from the Google translated featurelist i posted here:

Three modes of play in several Adhoc mode:

Standard Race: traditional courses with hardcore players, and the ability to reverse the starting grid and adjust the "strength" of the car boost.
