Dark horses

Hi there,

Let's talk about the good surprises in this game...

The FIAT Coupe would be my dark horse, it doesn't look impressive @ 391 hp but it really kicks ass with the full mods.
Set the gearbox to 7 and you will get a car capable of beating any 591 hp. It handles like a dream and the sound of the engine is divine, a sort of old school low Rpm grunt. The best handling mid powered car I have driven...you just can't lose control.

Another good point is that this car is stunning with the race mod.

Your turn

The fiat coupe is a very grippy car indeed.
While there aren´t many cars that can surprise me in the tunning area with unexpectadly high HP or race mods (the last case was an aristo v300 reaching 703 HP) there are cars that I still haven´t properly tested and do surprise me in the driving area.

In the high performance departement the cars that surprised me the most were the cerbera LM and the elise gt1 mostly because of their ability to take corners at unbelievable speeds. The audi s4 was also a great discovery due to the high HP he could get and the drivability he managed to maintain after that.

Medium hp cars include the bmw 840 ci wich I think could have a few more horses after tunning but the good part being the amazing handling for such an heavy car. Next comes the citroen xsara rally that surprised me with the excelent grip levels.

Finnaly the tom´s angel t01. Haven´t really performed a apropriate road test but in the max speed test this car embarassed lots of big boys. He has low HP but is a very light car and after a few runs I managed to get 316kph (196mph) without proper tunning

...wow, maybe that was too much but hey those are the surprise cars I found... well some of them.

The Audi S4...this one reveals its true nature once fully tuned. This is the car i first used to learn how to drift!

I love the Alfa GTV too, but in the performance dept. this car is slightly slower than the fiat. I guess it's the price to pay for not picking a turbo car.

Once tuned the Phaeton can be a fiesty one! (I can see some of you giggling)

for the lower range hp (350hpish), the s2000 is amazing. can clock most 390hp cars thanks to great accelaration and handling. The RX7 '83 in the same range is also a blast.

Of course *cough* my Race Modded Tuscan *cough* will take just about anything....*cough* :D

Another VERY good surprise is the VW New Beetle. Build yourself a little monster, and there are plenty of colors to choose from for the race mod!

To give you an idea of what it is capable of, I heavily beated the GT40 and cobra coupe at the grinderwald historic race...not too bad for a car that starts at 115 BHP...and gets to 390 once customised.

Come on people, give it a try....but the puprple one is MINE!!!

a '91 silvia Q's ( or K's????...well the one that goes to over 390hp). That is a surprise car.

Put a mod on it and it is quick at 335hp, even if it looks like a dogs breakfast

Oh, yeah. We all know how awesome the Dodge Phaeton is . Are you not too bright, or just post-whoring?

same goes for the Nissan Sunny VZR Sedan - it looks rubbish at only 244 hp, but it will whup the asses on 390hp cars, especialy in the FF races and at Red Rock Valley, pity it's racing mod is boring with only red and white - keepit stock and in the deep blue.

I suggest you have a look at the MX-5 S Special...killer when fully tuned and the race mod is sweet. It's probably the best MX-5 with the B spec.
