Hi All

As I am using the PSVR2 exclusively to play GT7, and prefer to turn the HUD off as often as possible for maximum immersion, unfortunately the cars are showing different amounts of race information on their dashboard. I wanted to find out what car displays which information and since I couldn't find an overview, I created one.

I limited my overview to the 4 stats we get in VR as the race info, which is the current gear, the lap time, lap counter and current position. Some cars feature additional info that I skipped (for now).

Best case seems to be the below from cars such as the Corvette and the NSX:

Good job. The Hyundai HYUNDAI N 2025 VGT (Gr.1) has everything. I have been using the car a lot lately. It will be more fun for you to have another look to see if you can see it. I had to look closely.

Oh yes, you are right, thank you. That is displayed very small.

fixed in the post now.

The Spa daily at 20 laps had me wondering what my fuel level was. The Mazda vision Gr3. didnt tell me. So Fuel info maybe a future addition idea.
Also how many cars have tyre info, is it just that Hypercar Ferrari?

Fuel is just in the MFD? It tells you estimated laps remaining and the fuel level.

Good idea regarding fuel level.

tyre info might to be indeed too exotic, don't know of any car.

I have been having all HUD off since the update. Its quite liberating.
it's insanse how much all HUD off makes a difference to the immersion. Everytime I'm surprised all over again.

I think, practically, its because the hud brings the cockpit in towards you regardless of what your driving. Without it the space becomes what it is. Cramped or spacious, its unique, which is fun.

Wtb hotkey toggle so i can just check stuff quickly and then return to off during a race. Mostly of course, because tires.

So I have upgraded my T300RS even though it stll works. I have the T-GT II now. I like it has the dials to adjust the GT MFD settings. Good and bad for VR no HUD. Good because with the HUD off it still controls the MFD settings but bad because I dont know what i am setting it to. So here is my hope is there any car that shows setting changes in the actual cars cockpit? A lot of car have fake/non repsponsive displays for things like TC and fuel maps. Would be so good if PD could make these work for VR.
Or maybe I could modify my dials to make the positions feelable to touch. That that would still be difficult while racing.

Some cars have a fuel gauge like the SF23.

I want to say the Ford GT Race Car Gr. 3 dashboard has some kind of fuel info. I was doing a race in VR and there was number that started off at 120 and gradually dropped throughout my race. When I refueled it would go back up to 120. Perhaps it is estimated fuel in liters? I say estimated because the value fluctuated up and down quite a bit and wasn't precise.

I really hope they would make those screens scrollable. Page 1 could be the stock screen and rest of the pages could be the generic hud displays for the rest of info including splits, tcs/abs/esc, tire/fuel, radar, map.. wouldnt be that hard to implement and i bet incar drivers even without vr would greatly appreciate this immersion. At the very least please give us splits in VR hud - thats the bare minimum to encourage VR use in sports mode.

Not sure it is mentioned here but the new Porsche Mission X also gives track lap deltas in the dash. There is a time beneath the delta as well but it does not appear to be the target lap based on current delta so not sure.

It may have other data but I only focused on the delta. May have to review some of my videos now to try to work it out...

Great list thanks. How do I set up a hotkey for it? You can turn the hud on/off with a hotkey at the wheel, w/o removing VR? This would be fantastic

It would be fantastic, but someone at sony has put the kaibash on advancing vr, since launch. We all(vr users) thought details such as a hud toggle hotkey would have been addressed within a few months after psvr2 launched. Yet, here we are..

Its kinda offensive to read pd has time to do a bspec instead of making the smallest effort to improve the vr experience. Race timings and a hud toggle hotkey would heck, even just a hud toggle would make so many people happy it’s crazy they don’t bother with it. At this point im wondering if we have to wait for ian bell’s game, or ac evo, to come to console to get any upgrades to the vr experience. It’s boggling.

Haha I totally misunderstood you. I thought you have hotkey for it, but you just wish to have it :)
Today I drove a bit of lobby with a friend and obv turned off hud while he plays flat screen. I kept asking him in which lap we are and how the tyres are looking and if we see any rain. Sad (but so immersive)
