OK, I understand that this may not be the place for this question, but in order for me to get back to the WRS I need assistance.

Can saved data from 1 PS3 be transferred to another?
I need to buy a new one and do not want to have to redo all of the licences and $$$ and restock my garage again.

Please help.

Cheers All!!!

Yes, it can be moved from one PS3 to another. It just needs to be for the same PSN account.

You can actually perform a PS3 to PS3 data transfer in the XMB menu, if both are still functioning.

Youtube has video tutorials for a couple scenarios. Simply do a search on youtube and take your pick.

You can transfer directly over network if they are both running Playstation software 3.15 or later and are both on the network at the same time. Or you can use a usb drive to "manually" copy the game saves from one to the other.

Note: I think it's important that both the PS3 Login name and linked PSN account are the same for both PlayStations or it may block you from copying the saved data.

AWESOME.

Thanks for the assistance guys, I'll give that a shot when i get the new PS3 and hopefully you should see me back in the WRS real soon.

Cheers All!!!

Note that I just got a 2nd PS3 and copy the GT5 game save over in minutes. The usb drive is the easiest way to do it if you just want to copy the GT5 game save. Very simple really and only takes a few minutes. Just make sure both PS3's are on the exact same version of the software (latest GT5) and the PS3 login name and PSN login name are matched on both.

And the only real reason you'd copy over the Game Data (which can be multiple GB's:eek:, vs the Game Save which WRP is talking about, at just a couple MB's) is to get your replays and pics over to the 2nd PS3.
