Datamined car list

I suspect that PD had money to pay for the rights to show those cars in the photos at the museum, but they would have to pay substantially more to actually be allowed to use those cars as driveabek cars in this game.

Plus there's a bunch of cars in those museums that aren't exactly interesting to race anyway, because their contributions to the history of the automotive world are far more interesting than their performance around a track.

This is a driving simulator though. We don’t actually have to race them around a track. Just drive on the roads of La Sarthe, Bathurst and the expressways of Tokyo. ;)

Maybe with the changing of hands, is why we’d see Caterham returning. Not sure about Lotus, but if an agreement was finalised, I hope this had something to do with it.

I don't know why you want to present this list as something it isn't, why you're so hostile to the concept that it's not what you're presenting it as, or why you're now just posting gibberish.

You're calling it "leaked upcoming cars". It's not. It's a list of car names found in GT7's file structure. You can find car names in the file structure of other Gran Turismo games which never appeared in those games too... or are we just still waiting, for 22 years, for the Bugatti EB110 to come to Gran Turismo 3? After all, the car name is in the game files...
Then it's time to remove this thread, don't you think?
Apparently not. ;)

Apparently not. ;)
To which quote is that a reply? I'll address both.

Firstly, my post is still entirely accurate; the list in the first post never was and never will be a list of "leaked upcoming cars", as the user titled the thread.

It always was, and always will be, a list of car names found in GT7's file structure. Appearance on the list is no guarantee that the car will appear in the game in the future, and non-appearance on the list is no guarantee that a car won't appear in the game in the future. It's just a list of car names in the game files. Some represent cars being actively worked on, some represent cars which were abandoned or removed, and some are just placeholders. The original source of the list even noted all of this in this thread... but yet people want to believe the list is 100% cars coming to GT7.

As for removing the thread, nope.

Well, since this thread is still going, gonna ask it here. Are there any unavailable for public custom wheels in datamining? Like for example there's this Corvette with something similar to Work Ryver S003H, but the wheels can only be seen on a thumbnail, the actual car has stock wheels.

75 cars on the list yet to come, so, there's the next 25 months of updates! :P

I know, there's cars that aren't on that list that will be added (like Dai Yoshihara's Pikes Peak Tesla Model 3), and very likely several on the list we won't see in GT7 (we've only just gotten two cars we've known about since 2014).

I'm curious where the previous SEMA cars are? Example:embarrassed:range Quattro. Weren't they immortalized to GT with their award?

Edit: accidentally emoji'd myself and I'm not changing it

Honestly, I'd like to know why some of the first winners never returned after six.

That Buick Special from GT4 was probably my favorite winner out of all of them. It was the inaugural winner. :sly:

Which quattro? The HPA TT?

We don't really know where the nine pre-GT Sport SEMA cars have gone.

Yeah, a few issues with that one (aside from being a vanishing pre-GTS car) with regards to ownership. It's changed hands, because the hands that made it died.

Violently.

Yes the HPA one! And whoa, that's a shame about the Buick owner.

Was it murder?

Was it murder?
The owners, Ted and Sue Richardson, apparently died in a murder suicide in 2010 although there isn't really any record of this online so not sure it's totally true.

This old topic seems to be the source of that, but the news links are not correct now.

The person who actually did the work, Ryan Butler, died in a nasty hydroplane boat racing accident in 2011.

The unfortunate history of BuWicked may make renegotiating, scanning and remodelling it infeasible, sadly. I also don't expect the HPA Stage II Golf to be redone, though it could be possible, if it's still extant.
The other HPA winner, the orange TT could reasonably easily return, as with all the other Premium winners from 2005 to 2011, though I imagine the track-ready Civic and 1000hp Maverick would be prioritised, having not yet had their time in the sun (kind of crazy we're just now getting SEMA and Pebble Beach winners from '14, fingers crossed the last two winners aren't saved for GT8! ).

Man I'd love me some 3-spokes in GT7

Agreed, I miss the Super Advan Ver.2 on the HKS Hyper Silvia.
Since these wheels still appear in the Forza series today, there are probably no licensing issues.
If they were going to release the wheel pack as DLC I would gladly pay for it.
