This is sad news indeed, really shocked. I will always remember him from the Freestyle BMX games. I was actually thinking about playing my GBA game the other day. Might play some in tribute...

I rode a signature bike of his once (it was owned by my friend at school). He had some great videos out there and was a talented rider. Far too young to go.

Proof that I don't know anything: someone who had it all doing what he loved doing, and inexplicably but intentionally kills himself.

What a tragic news. I feel very sorry for his family, especially the kids.

Loved the game when I was younger, and had a Haro Mirra 540 Air, one of his signature bikes when I was 12.
RIP.

Always loved the guys, he seems like a genuine cool and kind guy whenever I've seen him in movie or tv series with other people like jackass or nitro circus. Such a shame that a huge talent like him finished like that.

I've also heard of something for the first time while trying to find a why. Apparently lots of concussions can make you depress even if you have a perfectly happy life. Happen to some boxers too.

Wow that's awful, and you gotta wonder for others, especially guys like Pastrana. Reading about him just ending it himself and leaving behind a family is all the more sad, just an awful thing when you just don't want to go on after being diagnosed with something so deadly.

Tragic indeed, at the very least this gives us some insight into life after fame for all athletes, and yeah, it makes me wonder if some of the tragedies that have taken place locally are connected to this illness,

Wow. I saw him in San Francisco at the X Games in 1999 when I was living in the US. Alongside Tony Hawkes, one of the highlights of the games.

Just 41 years old :(
