dc pro spec 3.0s or puma x subarus??

Hey all, I've been shopping in the shoe market for some decent racing shoes that I can wear to school, feel comfortably, and maybe, just maybe, skate in once or twice. While the pumas in terms of comfort have yet to be determined due to their June 15th release, I'm wondering if I can get some experienced/professional input on which pair may be better for my conditions. As far as looks go both are great. Really just trying to determine what downsides the pro specs have and what similar pumas hold

Thanks!!

I'd probably say casual sports shoes would be better than racing shoes. I own a pair of cycling shoes and would definitely not wear them for anything other than cycling.

Why not grab a pair of Converse? Hard to go wrong that way.

This. The downsides that both have is that they're not really that comfortable to just generally walk around in, and if you're going to be doing the occasional skate sesh then specifically speaking skate shoes would be your best bet.

If you like the look of the Pro Spec 3.0 then check out the Block range of DC's other shoes like Versatile or Spartan High. I have a pair each of these and they're nice and comfy while still looking very conspicuously cool. Versatile especially is more suited to casual sports use with the tread pattern, airbags and water-resistance, whereas Spartan is more like a standard skate shoe.

Spartan High Block (several different styles with these; mine are the green/yellow/black version on the bottom):

With skate shoes though your options are pretty open-ended and depend almost entirely on what style you're after. I have skate shoes for most casual use - specifically Etnies Faders:

Thanks man, this just opened up my options considerably :)

This said, its important to have a tight, flexible, flat shoe correct? As long as I hit the basics I'm good, no??
