DD1 Fan at 100%

Starting yesterday my DD1 has the fan pegged at high RPM with no FFB. After reading a bit online (and user manual) seems to indicate there may be a temperature sensor issue. I am hoping to avoid a costly and time exhaustive RMA process.

Does anyone have experience with a fix here?

No, but to be fair, I’ve never heard my fan come on befire. But a quick search of the internets showed that your problem is t unique.

Question…. Does your wheel base get warm after prolonged use at high torque?

I know I need to reflash my base, but I absolutely cringe at the thought of doing something wrong, and bricking it

It doesn’t get warm at all, and it was having this issue after a cold start (no use for over 24h). I am currently waiting on the glorious Fanatec support to tell me I’ll need to spend few hundred dollars to send it back to them. So at this point looking for alternatives.

Did this get fixed? I have a DD1 everything works but the fan on the base is running at max speed from the moment I turn it on, until I turn it off.

I finally received my wheel base back after refusing to pay for a new one. Fanatec wouldn’t RMA it. They went dark for nearly a year. Now I have a brick.

An update here: they sent me back a bad power supply unit and haven't responded back in three weeks. Fun times.
