I thought I saw one before but I just want to be clear. Does anyone know of a Pantera in the game?

Do you mean this?

Or this?

If so, no. Sadly there isn't any. :(

Yuck. It wasn't much of a car (almost) 40 years ago and it hasn't improved with age.

I disagree. I fell in love with this car ever since I first saw it in Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3.

Sad!? I'm a speed junkie as much as the rest of you guys but a speed junkie and death trap lover I am not.

I love the De Tomaso especially after Fast Five, but...there is no way around the death trap they are known to be.

In GT5, there are no death traps. Drive your X2011 straight into a wall at 500 kmh and all you get is a "Thud".

So I'd love to have DeTomasos in the game. But I think modelling them will be difficult, even the best specimens I've seen have looked very worn internally. Bad quality materials I suppose.

De Tomaso been sold to Chinese Investment Firm last year if i remember right, maybe there is a chance that one day we will see one in the actual game.... fingers crossed.

Maybe you confused the De Tomaso with the old Lotus Spirit or the Lancia Stratos... they look more or less the same...

Also, like most of you, I'd love to see it in the game... but like most "dream DLC" cars, I think it's unlikely to happen :indiff:

351ci Cleveland engine from Ford that put out 301 HP and 266 FP of torque. I think it did 0-60 in 6 seconds and had a top speed of 140 mph back in the early 70's. For comparisons, the fastest Porsche only did 143 mph. The Ferrari's and Lamborghini's were at the 170 mph area though.

I remember this car firsthand. As I said, it was too expensive for too little car. It was prone to overheating. It was thoroughly reviewed and compared to other exotic cars of the time where it finished a distant second.

They more or less look the same perhaps if you're visually impaired, these 3 cars look nothing like each other, and I really mean nothing.

I would love the Pantera (or any De Tomaso like the Mangusta, Vallelunga or Deauville) as it's an iconic car, a mid-engined Italian exotic with a big Ford V8, basically an 'affordable' GT40.
Apparantly it's included in Forza 4 and I hope it'll appear in GT some day.

This car was sexy, loved it in enthusia, nice little quick car, don't know why it isn't in most racing games, I would die if I saw it in gt6

Obviously (or I was aiming) it was about the real life version, that is why I don't like it. Virtually though this car would be awesome to own and race hence why I voted for it on the feedback.
