Dealership Idea

How about a dealership where you have a New Car Lineup, a Used Car Lineup, a Classic Car Lineup, and a Special Models Lineup? Used cars would not simply be new or classic cars with 30,000 miles on them. They would be discontinued models.

EXAMPLE: Chevrolet

NEW

Corvette C6
Malibu
Cobalt
Aveo
Impala
SSR
HHR
Monte Carlo
Lumina Ute

USED

Corvette C5
Camaro '02
Camaro '94
Caprice '96
Corvette C4
Cavalier
Lumina
El Camino '85
Monza
Camaro '85

CLASSIC

Corvette C3
Corvette C2
Corvette C1 '53
Corvette C1 '60
Bel Air
Chevelle
El Camino '70
Camaro '67
Impala '64
Camaro '74
Nova

SPECIAL

Corvette C6 Racecar
Camaro IROC
Monte Carlo NASCAR
Bel Air Concept
Super Sport Concept
Silverado SS
Blazer Xtreme
Silverado Xtreme
S-10 Xtreme
Cobalt SS Supercharged
Nomad Concept

^ That reminded me when GT2 was out with an exemption of those Classic cars section. Nice idea thou.

-> But I'd like to see separating Race cars and Concept cars on the Special lot:

+CHEVROLET+

=SPECIAL=

-RACE CARS-
Chevrolet Corvette C6 Race Car '04
Chevrolet Monte Carlo #3 NASCAR Stock Car '00
Chevrolet Silverado NASCAR Stock Truck '04
...etc.

-CONCEPT CARS-
Chevrolet Super Sport Concept
Chevrolet Bel Air Concept '02
Chevrolet Nomad Concept
...etc.

So you merely want to just expand upon the Dealer's menu screen.

Why not do something like the PGR with a walk around dealer or garage.

^ Thats a nice idea but it take too much time.

-> But, I got a better idea! Once you select a particular area like Special/Used/New cars menu. Once you're there, you will be directed to a walk around showroom specifying only to the cars you select (Used/Special/New), so you don't have to walk for 5 minutes just to get a certain showroom. No hallways, its like you are in a glitzy warehouse (ex. full of Ford's classic cars in one building) you just have to walk around the building just like you're in an auto show not in a maze. (:

How about this: an interactive dealership made to look like a real dealership. It would have different rooms to walk around in, and each room would be a different category of cars. Dealerships are reserved for one company each, of course.

PARKING LOT: used cars
SHOWROOM: new cars
BACK ROOM: classics
SECRET ROOM: specials

You would have the ability to take the cars for a test drive, and they would be brand new afterwards just like in PGR2. The Secret Room would be an unlockable.

Sounds cool. I like that too. 👍

There's just so much PD could learn from Bizarre Creations.
Hell, maybe they should hire them to do their sounds for the cars as PGR3 and PGR2 sound so much better.

Sounds good. I'd like to see that in GT5. Especially the showroom setup. Used cars in the lot, new ones in the show room etc, etc, etc.

And while there, you could got thru the options for your car. Ex: Instead of there being separate skylines, they'd be classified in years, and instead of there being an entirely different model, you could purchase the Midnight Purple color as an option, along with anything else you wanted for that car in particular.

I very much liked that concept in PGR2. 👍

I proposed the idea along time ago of actually free roam mode where you go to tuning shops and dealerships and such and drive home and such. 👍

Good idea. Special colors would be extra. They would go under the options category, which adds to the base price. Other options include spoilers, hood scoops, etc.

As for the used cars, they would be restricted to just one per generation. No puting a '63 Corvette and a '64 Corvette in just because of a subtle design change.
