This is really annoying, can't even have over 30 track layouts on editor.
I'm having small understanding for limiting track amount on GT6, but hey why limit tracks on offline, away from GT6, on Track Path Editor?
I really like to keep my tracks saved, having "sources" backed up locally on my tablet, but no, not over 30 tracks is possible!
PD limits already usage of editor in way of "hiding" track files so those cannot be backed up (if running legit Android without root), this has to be changed on way or other.

I want to have ability to make backup of my track sources, more than 30, at least on my TPE, if not lifting quota on GT6 then PLEASE take limit out from TPE! PD doesn't lose a thing if I have unlimited amount on tracks on my tablet, but I lose a lot of used time if I have to start deleting tracks in order to get "room" for making new ones.

@Jordan do you have any changes to deliver humble request to PD?

2 tablets? I use a tablet and Bluestacks giving me 60. If you have 2 accounts on tablet, does that work?
Really good idea, but feels really stupid to create new account on tablet+ Google play just because of stupid coding limits.

Yeah I was thinking this same thing. I'm trying to hang on to some of my "earlier versions" so I have a reference if something gets screwed up on a new one or I just want to remember how to straight up revert to something I did change. I've also had requests for old versions so it's nice to be able to throw those back up online for a bit while the requestor grabs it.

The editor is just about literally the only thing still keeping GT6 alive for me so once I hit the track limit with nothing else to delete it'll be done again for me.

The files are not big and the quantity does nothing to affect performance so I just don't see the reason for a cap.

I can understand limiting the number of shared tracks, but rationale behind limiting the track number on the tablet doesn't make since, this was like limiting the total number of saved replays. I think the limit should only come into play when moving the data to the cloud.

My work around this, is to move specific files off my tablet and onto my PC. Just delete files off my tablet when I need room, since there backed up I can always move them back when I need them.

This works with my IPad.

Ok so wait, on the ipad version you can just go in and browse right to the files? Whereaes on Android you need root access? What the hell is that PD?

You can access those files on Android device without root aswell.

I've made a simple command line application for this. But you will also need adb and bsdtar (I've included in the download).

Download:

Little video tutorial:

Even if you don't have many tracks, you can still use this to share track projects between other users :).

Why not just delete the tracks once you're finish editing them? Seems simple enough, you'll just want to be certain you're actually done altering them.
Or like regnar mentioned above move them elsewhere as a backup.

Easy way.. Doh.. Didn't root my n9 at first place, but now it's more than needed.. First backing up thru ADB and putting DU in after it.
So there goes idea of vanilla Android.. :)

I agree with the limit.I could have 500 on gt5 and once i hit 500 I could have a second user on my ps3 and add it to my friends list then share those tracks tomy primary account.that trick no longer works. Lucas said "unleash your imagination" well its a bit hard to unleash something when it is still tethered to the wall
