Well me and a friend of mine do 3D models, he does most of the baseline autos then I do all the texturing, rims, and other little custom things. He came up with the whole Death by Design thing so hey why not.

Here is the first model we've completed. The Death Dime. Its a 1997 S-10 and you can pretty much see all the mods.

The next thing we did was this 88 Honda Accord...a true car there . The reason he did this was to give me a challenge, I had to perform a little Pimp My Ride (3d style) on it. I don't think it turned out to bad considering I had to figure out how to put a body kit on it.

Thanks Darin...I have another truck that should be done by tomarrow.

I use 3ds Max to make em.

As for request tell me what you want and I'll tell my buddy who makes em. I'll see what he can do.

Here is the next thing that I've been doing, a old school GMC truck that has been dubbed old school.

Here is a lifted Toyota trucks dubbed the California Special.

The one pics with the lights overtaking the truck was just something I was playing around with and I thought it was cool.

The red truck is quite good, but what's with your floor man? And some tread on those tires would really help. Good job. 👍

I don't get it, this really baffles me... either people that do cars in 3D cad have a **** load of time or something because I can do just as complicated models of stuff for school yet I still haven't figured out how to do a car. With this said, I don't think these are that great but I can't say at the moment I can do better. :irked:

Time has nothing to do with it, me and my buddy can crank one out in a day or two depending on whats on our plate at work.

I have a request.How about a 2004 bmw 545i ?
I dont know if the fact that the car is more rounded and curved than the ones ive seen will make it difficult.

Thats looking pretty good BlazinXtreme, I use 3ds Max 6. The models are good, but the renders could use a little help. Even the most well modeled objects look bad if they aren't rendered correctly. If you ever need any help PM me or catch me on AIM. Btw 3ds max 7 is out 👍 :D

Well these are just things I throw together at work so I can stay sane. I'd kill myself if I didn't have anything to do. I have some models with more detail. Plus I typically don't make the the car its self...well the body at least. I leave that to my buddy who's about 1000 times better then me, he's the Alex that you see in the credit section of the model.

As for the rendering, I have Brazil r/s which I really should use.

I need to get 3DS Max 7 even though I just got 6 up on my computer. But what sucks is I've lost all my materials. I can't get them back either, so I'm stuck having to remake things like chrome.

I think we might have a BMW that Alex did a few months ago for a customer. I'll check on that.

Here is one car that I did most of the body on, pretty much the first complete car I've tried to do.

That one looks pretty good, you might want to tone down the reflection (on the car) though.

Here is the BMW my buddy made, the only thing I did was add the textures.

ya, that 57 is sweet.the only thing i would suggest is, if u wanted to add more detail, show the underbody of the car like muffler, axles, and so on in the reflection on the floor.

More like ricer's nightmare... or just mine :D

I reccomend using Brazil. With some practice, you can get ungodly looking renders. There's even a car pait material, which adds metallic flakes. 👍

I don't have a site with all my stuff, but there are many sites out there. I don't know any off the top of my head.

you guys need some body graphics and more details to rim but other than that pretty cool....I use to do 3d graphics and animation at school..we used a more advanced and more complicated program..pain in the a$$ though..it's called
LIGHTWAVE 3D..

Criticism:
You need to work on smoothing on the seats for the '57 (infact, the whole model has smoothing errors) , and the textures for the BMW and the Honda. (I'm a skinner for a Half-Life 2 mod, I know my stuff :))
Also, chrome and car paint take about two minutes to make if you know what you're doing...
