Has anyone else here experimented with the opacity of their uploaded .SVG files? I was messing around because it is the Rolex 24 at Daytona this weekend I felt inclined to take a crack at the 3GT Racing Lexus and try to get a more accurate double chrome effect.
I was thinking that the best way would be to use the B4 Chrome (when I get it) and then use a white or off white/blue transparent layer to get more of a natural chrome color like my test below. It pulls some of the environmental reflections but it still looks too flat. I was thinking about doing the opposite with a base of silver chrome and blue layer but it I think that would be less true to the actual scheme plus would look too flat. I'd love to hear the thoughts of others.
The AEM decal was just for reference. On the other hand I did discover that you can use this to overlay carbon and get the nice effect of seeing the weave through the layer.
And you can do matte chrome when you change the decal finish
Thoughts?
