BUSAROCKET and me were online last night and running a few at Indy, when we then had no one to ghost and decided to use time, which we both hate. However (as I haven't been online recently, decided to delete my GTA:SA save and start over for a 4th time) he said word on the street is that Decembers DLC will bring a drag strip and proper tree, and that a LOT of people were talking...he also brought up another good point saying you know what happens when a lot of people talk...

I will not beleive it until I see it, as I'm sure most of you feel the same way. What do you think? Have you also heard this? Do you think it's true?

Personally, I'm confident we will get one a some point, be it sooner or later.

What PD should probably do is:

Remember the 1/4 mile Las Vegas drag strip in GT4 used to test your car? They should bring that back to GT5.

I'm not a fan of drag racing, but I thought that would be cool :)

No then we can't race online. It was a one lane strip.

No, it wasn't.

However, I don't want that drag strip back, simply because it's very unrealistic. I mean, come on, they would never close down one of the main streets of Las Vegas for some drag racing in real life.

What PD needs to do is to bring a real life NHRA drag strip.

i was at indy first got bored moved to Top Gear then SSR7

Honestly, I would take Vegas over nothing. Seeing PD's habit of pulling things from previous GT series than making new events/cars from scratch, this would be the most likely drag strip we'd have...

Unrealistic but cool!

That's exactly the charm of it! And the real life NHRA drag strips are boring. Yes, that's to 100% my opinion.

I would love a Drag Strip as I do like to drag my cars from time to time and because I play with no HUD every-time I want to drag race I have to turn it all on again.

I agree. Even if we get a real drag strip were only gonna use that to see what times we run and hold some tournaments. Other than that we are still gonna use indy, monza and fuji. The vegas strip would be just fine for me as long as it has a proper launching stage.

I never knew the LV Drag Strip had two lanes, in all my years of playing GT4, I thought it only had one..:P

Really??

2 years ago at SEMA they closed down part of the strip, it happens often actually for all types of events. I know because I live here.

It’s not gt5 related, but I love your city man

…anyway, fingers crossed for any kind of drag strip that doesn’t rely on ping 👍

The illegal "street racing" feel
Ok. Street racing is cool I guess, in real life. In games and in movies it tends to be pretty silly in my opinion.

To close it down for drag racing would be plain stupid and a waste of time though, don't you think? Since you have a real drag strip at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

A real drag strip would be sweet. It would also help us see what tunes would be faster because we can actually see what times we are running with each tune.

I'm a slight drag racing fan, but I don't partcipate on the game. If they could model and add the Charlotte Z-Max Quad-Strip, in North Carolina, that'd be sweet. It'd add meaning for online contests.

They don't close down the whole 'strip' by the way, just a section depending on the event as this city loves to ENTERTAIN. And remember, we are talking about a video game not reality.

I just hope we get something with a timer, or the Test Track.

That would be nice to have the option to drag 3 or 4 at a time. But I'd still like it to have a mile long strip too
