Decent Popup ad Killer?

Does anyone know of a decent popup killer that is free and automatically loads when IE is opened? I have AnalogX.com's POW! right now but you have to manually add popups and there aren't many features in it. With the onslaught of Pop up ads these days, I am tired of using Alt+ F4 to close a window that opens without my permission. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

Meaya Pop Up Ad Filter. It is the best popup killer I have seen. You don't need to manually ad popups to the list.

You have to pay - if you want a legit copy that is.

Pop-up Stopper from Panicware. www.panicware.com

It stops all IE window popups. If you need to open a new IE window, simply hold Ctrl, Alt, or Shift and click on the IE shortcut.

Does anyone know if Ad-Aware blocks popups? it would be highly useful to me as a program. Its free and I have heard it recommended on TechTV but I don't remember what they said it does. I also can't seem to find any information on its features at lavasoft's website.

Ad-aware scans your system for spyware and adware, then lets you remove them. Ad-aware doesn't stop popups.

ah, then it would be redundant to download it since I have Spybot-Search and Destroy already.

PopupKiller has some pretty good reviews. I personally don't like it because it sometimes closes windows I don't want closed(such as ones necessary to browse sites properly)

I've been using The Proxomitron lately. You do have to start the program manually when Windows starts, and you do have to do some configuring in your internet options. It's easy, however. Plus it does more than block pop-ups. You can also use it to kill animated .gifs, background music, etc. It's absolutely free, and definitely worth trying.

PopUp Stopper Companion is the best IMO, it saved my life one time when I was browsing through some warez sites.. it even has sounds, its so fun!
