Deciding to start 3k

As you know I'm not half bad at 1/4 mile tuning, but I have decided to move on to bigger and better things.

After racing in a GME room with those fellas I gotta say I had a lot more fun even though I couldn't hear their mics properly (my volume set up is weird and makes mics quiet).

Could anyone give me some tips to tuning for this distance?
I've read Dr_Slump's bible and I have had some success. I think I just need to get my gears a little closer and work out top speeds a little better and I'll almost be there.

Anyways hope to see you round my new home on SSRX

I don't want tunes. I would appreciate tips and advice. I wanna try and learn as much as I can and then work out the tunes myself.

welcome to 3k viper , we had fun running you last night and your tunes are pretty good for first time . Your always welcome into GME drag rooms as is everybody posting here . You ever need a little advice bro just hit me up . The most important thing to remember in 3k drag is that the suspension can be always different. Alot of cars work with low back high front but alot also work with low front high back . Like the supra that car hates having a low back lol but at the same time there alot cars that can have both setups so its all about testing and seeing what you like the most bro. Thanks man now that I've stretched the ACR trans I think I need to make a 1st gear launch instead. I was using second gear last night and I was getting a decent launch but any higher top speed and I'd need 1st. Hopefully this let's my other gears be closer because that's what was really killing me in the end
