Disappointing news about GT5 I know, but what should I do in the meantime?
Buy GTPSP and transfer the cars over to GT5 in March, or buy an xbox and play Forza 3 till GT5 arrives?

Some say, Forza would keep me occupied more than GTPSP, but I like the idea of transferring cars to GT5

If you already have a PSP, GTPSP is probably your cheapest option, but I don't know how well that would fill in considering it's not really on par with the current console racers. And I think the idea of transferring cars is actually pretty bad and only serves to shorten and damage the expereince of GT, unless they only go into arcade mode, in which case, who cares really.

I think F3 would be a good way to go, but if it involves buying a 360 also that wuold seem like a bit of cash for me...

I think you need to decide what it is you really want... but if other games on the PS3 aren't gonna do it for you, then I would think GTPSP isn't gonna do it for you either as it's pretty slimmed down.
