This is a short vid I've made of me drifting around deep forest. Its not the best I can do, but everytime I do my best it never seems to be at a time where I can catch it in a replay:irked: - anyways. Techniques used include braking entry, inertia, throttle over-power, and a few others. Hope you enjoy it, and please give me feedback on my style, control, etc, as well as anything I could improve.

(yes I touched the grass with my right rear tire coming out of the first corner, my bad, and no didnt hit the wall coming onto the winding straight.)

Great replay, and awesome car choice for drifting. Did you have a Brake Balance Controller on the car? If so, what was it set to? Also, what were the Limited Slip settings, if any? thanks

hmmm, I've been around for about 2 weeks now... been drifting seriously for about that long... before that it was just seeing if I could keep the car straight using the drift setting in arcade mode, muahahaha. practice practice! MUST BE BETTER!

Hey, really nice technique, but i have a question:
Is there any reason why you use Stage 1 Turbo and not Stage 2 or 3 in your setup?

Good Job.....very clean. I guess the Drift mode on the arcade races is really paying off for you. Keep at it, and keep the vids coming. I'd really like to see your progress.

Yeah FD's are nice ive got a stock blue one with sims on it and i managed to link the whole beginning 2 turns of apricot hill, which may not seem big to you but whatever, also got lots of vids of me on Deep forest but i dont have a capture card or whatever it is you need. Meh ill get stuff for christmas.

I didnt use turbo 2 or 3 because its way too much hp. my goal is to reduce hp and still be able to drift, not increase. I can take it down to 300 and still keep it sideways. Less hp means you cant rely so much on the accelerator and u have to be more agressive in your approach to corners.

Oh, and never DRIFTED in arcade mode, I just tried to kep the car on the road cuz I didnt know what drifting was per se ^-^

Very nice...I have a compilation fo 3 different FD's of mine drifting there, but at the moment it's not available since 19xx's hosting was attacked. >.< I think you would like it though. FD is one of my primary drift cars. 2 of my 5 vids are FD only. ^.^

Keep up the good work. ^-^

thanks for the comments everyone. I'm going to critique it myself right quick. I accelerated fully too soon on the first corner. In the 2nd (the inertia drift) I caused the car to counter too soon (notice that I have to redline the gear on the rev limiter just to keep the drift going) which also screwed up the line for the next corner. OTher than that I think it was ok. On the two link corners, I didnt quite carry enough speed to keep the car fully *sideways* around the first one, but was I was counter steering all the way around it, using nothing but the throttle to push the car around the corner.

Fiend: I was just in arlington at a friends house working on my computer day b4 yesterday, hehe. I live out in hickory creek (denton) on the other side of the I35 bridge that goes over lewisville lake, so its a bit of a drive away...

Its exhibition drifting because to race drift, u have to have someone drifting against you. Like in the D1 Gran Prix

umm.. what? that doesnt sound right.. i believe race drifting, is just having a faster exit speed. basically less drifting at the exit.

yes race drift has nothing to do with somone being behind you, race drifts arent meant to look good, or even be a full drift, its just meant to enter and exit a corner as quickly as possible withouth wrecking of course compared to exhibition where speed isnt really a big factor, u just want to be clean, connect and have exelllent looking lines

no, I'm trying to go fast o_0 my best lap around deep forest in this car is 1:26.128. The lap that replay is from was 1:26.326
