So how often do you defrag your computer???? I defraged mine for the first time in a couple of months last night, because my computer was really starting to act up. It took just over an hour to complete.

*Question* When i go to certain sites (gtplanet.net) and others the interenet will freeze, and im forced to close it, and when i do it says "program not responding do you wish to close" any one have any idea why my internet might be screwed up. What could I do??

Anyways heres my defragmentation thing..

Well...you need like 25% of the drive free to defrag and i'm constantly at like 10% free. I defrag *maybe* once every 2 or 3 months because of it. It really sucks having a 40 gig drive and running applications that install in no less than 2-3 gigs (damn visual studio)

For your question, I think your browser is just going screwy...run adaware and see if that helps. If not, try another browser or re-install your current one

I try to defrag at least once a month. Right now I am defragging my 60 gig HD but not my new 120 gig(111 gigs after formatting) because I have not put many files on it yet. I bet that sucker will take four hours to defrag if I let it sit for two months or more. I do have a question though.... Is it better to have a large drive in one partition or in several partitions?

I find no difference...I like partitions because I can put my data on one & the programs on the other. Less backing up to do that way

Ah. I have two drives now, so the smaller of the two will house my programs and Windows XP once I wipe it and reinstall the OS. It's been acting somewhat slow when it boots up lately. We'll see if Defragging it helped at all.
